Finovista has participated in the SEforALL Conference 2026 in Vienna, where global leaders, practitioners, and innovators came together to accelerate progress on sustainable energy solutions.

A key focus of the conference was advancing clean cooking, particularly in schoolsโ€”an area that directly impacts health, education, and gender equity. It was an honor to present our work from Assam, where we have been supporting Anganwadi centers in transitioning toward cleaner, safer cooking practices.

In many of these centers, traditional cooking methods rely on LPG and when unavailable on biomass fuels, exposing children and caregivers to harmful indoor air pollution while also placing additional burdens on time and resources. Our work focused on introducing cleaner cooking solutions, improving kitchen infrastructure, and building awareness among communities about the long-term health and environmental benefits.

The journey has not been without challengesโ€”ranging from infrastructure gaps to behavioral changeโ€”but the early outcomes are encouraging. Cleaner kitchens are creating healthier environments for children, while also supporting frontline workers with more efficient and dignified working conditions.

Sharing these experiences on a global platform like Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) reinforces the importance of localized, community-driven solutions in achieving universal energy access.

Looking forward to continued collaboration and scaling impact where it matters most.

We are pleased to share that Ms Sheetal Rastogi, Co-founder of Finovista, participated as a panellist in the webinar on โ€œRuTAGe Smart Village Center (RSVC) โ€“ Sustainability Modelโ€, held on 8 April 2026. The session convened key stakeholders from government, academia, industry, and the development sector to deliberate on scalable and sustainable RSVC models across India.

During the discussion, Ms Rastogi outlined the RSVC framework, emphasising that capacity building and training, technology demonstrations, market linkages, and collaboration with State Rural Livelihood Missions (SRLMs) and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) are critical for the effective scaling and long-term sustainability of RSVC centres. She also highlighted the range of technologies integrated within the RSVC ecosystem and shared perspectives on future expansion and innovation pathways.

Drawing from on-ground implementation, she highlighted Finovistaโ€™s RSVC centre in Gaya, inaugurated on 2 September 2025, which focuses on empowering rural communities through clean cooking solutions. The centre has trained 50+ Clean Cooking Champions (CCC Didis) in eCooking repair and maintenance, strengthened local service systems for quicker issue resolution, enhanced SHG livelihoods through clean energy skill development, and increased awareness, confidence, and adoption of electric cooking technologies, while fostering stronger community engagement within SHG networks.

The session concluded with a strong call for enhanced convergence, innovation, and calculated risk-taking to ensure that science and technology effectively reach rural communities and contribute to sustainable livelihood generation.

We are pleased to invite you to the 10th session of the Talk Series โ€“ Phase IV on Modern Energy Cooking titled โ€œMulti-Fuel Cooking Assessment for Indian Dishes.โ€ being organised by the Modern Energy Cooking Services (MECS) Programme, UK, through its in-country partner Finovista.

Indiaโ€™s cooking landscape is shaped by diverse culinary traditions and varied cooking techniques, with households often preparing multiple dishes simultaneously using a combination of cooking processes such as boiling, pressure cooking, sautรฉing, roasting, and deep frying. While has become the dominant modern cooking fuel in India, it also represents a significant fiscal and energy security concern, with the country importing nearly 60% of its LPG requirements. Despite a very successful implementation of the Prime Minister Ujjwala Yojna (PMUY) scheme in India, it is estimated that approximately 37% of households still cook with unclean fuels, causing household air pollution (HAP) and also contributing to the ambient particular matter concentration.

Over the last decade, India has witnessed a rapid expansion of electricity access and improvements in grid reliability, creating new opportunities to explore as part of Indiaโ€™s broader clean energy transition. To better understand the practical viability of electric cooking technologies within Indian cooking contexts, a comparative multifuel study was undertaken by MECS and Finovista to evaluate the performance of LPG against a range of electric . The study assessed commonly used technologies, including Electric Pressure Cookers (EPCs), induction cooktops, infrared cooktops, & electric deep fryers across parameters such as cooking time, energy consumption, operating cost, usability, and food quality. A set of commonly consumed dishes, including rice, tuar dal, khichdi, aloo gobhi, boiled potatoes, & pooris, was selected to represent everyday cooking practices & diverse cooking processes. Controlled cooking trials were conducted to generate comparable performance data across and appliances.

Celebrating Culture, Collaboration, and Community at Finovista โœจ

At Finovista, we believe that a strong organization is built not only through innovation and impact, but also through the culture that brings people together.

This Holi, our team came together to celebrate the vibrant festival of colors with immense energy, enthusiasm, and a shared spirit of togetherness. The celebration was a wonderful reminder that moments of connection beyond work help strengthen the bonds that make teams truly exceptional.

The day was filled with colorful interactions, engaging games, and festive sweets โ€” an essential and non-negotiable part of any Holi celebration.

More than the festivities, it reflected the values that define Finovistaโ€™s workplace culture: collaboration, positivity, inclusivity, and mutual respect.
