The emits enough power onto Earth each second to satisfy the entire human energy demand for over two hours. Given that it is readily available and , power is an attractive source of . However, as of 2018, less than two percent of the world’s energy came from solar. Historically, solar energy harvesting has been expensive and relatively inefficient. Even this meager solar usage, though, is an improvement over the previous two decades, as the amount of power collected from solar energy worldwide increased over 300-fold from 2000 to 2019. New technological advances over the last twenty years have driven this increased reliance on solar by decreasing costs, and new technological developments promise to augment this solar usage by further decreasing costs and increasing solar panel efficiency.

Government is also holding hands of the people who are taking a step forward to go solar by means of Subsidy benefits.

This is how benefits if perceived properly

Meet Dr Reema Lewis, a physiotherapist and Pilates trainer, who has turned her duplex home in , into a veritable green living space.
She is from and moved back to Metropolitan Region (MMR) area post her wedding and started helping its residents heal their bodies. However, she applied that healing to Earth as well when she turned her home into a living space.

Four years ago, the family installed PV panels, and today, their entire home is powered by energy. Before installing solar panels, their electricity bill would touch Rs 10,000 per month, and during the summer season, it would go higher but now bills have come down to under Rs 1000 per month on an average and sometimes they only have to pay the minimum fixed charges of Rs 300.

She also gave up her -guzzling vehicle and adopted an car. While she used to pay Rs 9000 per month for petrol, today it’s less than Rs 500 because she had an - charging unit installed in her parking space, which in turn is connected her solar PV panels on the .

Aside from running her house on solar energy, Dr Reema has also opted for natural and to make optimum use of the waste generated to fertilizer and used the same in her terrace garden to a variety of plants, including mint, papaya, pumpkin, and cucumber among others.

Dr. Reema Lewis is a live example of how and go hand in hand. We salute her for this initiative and would suggest people to do the same.

Burning fossil fuels releases toxic gasses into the atmosphere. This contributes to global warming. Solar panels produce electricity with zero emissions. Solar power reduces the "greenhouse gas effect" around the world by eliminating the need for the same power to be produced using fossil fuels.

Most electricity in India burning coal or natural gas. The downside to this is that it increases global warming. Global warming has many negative effects some of which we are already seeing such as the polar ice caps melting and increased intensity of storms caused by greater energy in the atmosphere.

Plus, using the energy from the sun doesn't involve drawing it out of the sun itself. The sun's energy is going to hit the earth anyway - so solar energy will last as long as the sun does. Fossil fuel resources are finite. As they become harder to extract, they are going to become more expensive.
