Oil India Limited (OIL) is a fully integrated National petroleum E&P company in the upstream sector in India. OIL owns and operates a wide array of facilities & equipment to carry out seismic & geodetic work, 2D & 3D data acquisition, processing & analysis, drilling, oil & gas field development & production, LPG production and Pipeline transportation with all other ancillary services to make it a

fully integrated E&P Company. It has vast experience in reservoir management of ageing/ depleting fields and expertise in IOR/EOR operations. It has over 2000 km of trunk & feeder pipeline with in-house Operation and Maintenance. The Company’s current in-country operation spreads over various onshore ML and PEL areas in the states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry, and Rajasthan. Besides, OIL is venturing into both shallow and deep water basins in K-G basin, Cauvery and Andaman off shore either jointly or in partnership with other consortium partners. OIL's overseas E & P portfolio comprises of 16 blocks that are spread over 10 countries covering Libya, Gabon, Nigeria, Yemen, Venezuela, USA, Mozambique, Myanmar, Bangladesh and Russia. In addition to the above, OIL has 10% PI in a product pipeline in Sudan.
► In Venezuela, Carabobo Project where OIL has PI of 3.5%, current average monthly production from the project stands at approximately 7,500 BOPD. In the USA Liquid rich Shale Asset where OIL has 20% PI, OIL’s share of oil and gas production stood at 238,009 BOE.
► During the year, 2013-14, OIL together with OVL, has acquired 4% Participating interest in Area 1 Rovuma Field in Offshore Mozambique. During 2013-14, the OIL-OVL consortium were also awarded two shallow offshore Blocks SS-04 and SS-09 in the Bangladesh Bid Round-2012.
► The Company together with its consortium partners won two offshore blocks in bidding round announced by Government of Myanmar.
► OIL completed acquisition of 50% shareholding of Worldace Investments Ltd., a subsidiary of M/s. which owns Licence 61 in Tomsk region in Russia. It is a producing block and marks OIL’s entry into Russia.

Oil India Limited delivered a strong financial and operational performance in FY2025-26, reporting a 7% growth in consolidated PAT at ₹7,551 crore, while Q4 FY26 PAT surged by 62% to ₹2,424 crore.

Continuing its sustained efforts towards ensuring India’s energy security, OIL achieved its highest-ever drilling performance with 74 wells drilled and a record 307 workover operations during the year. The Company also recorded its highest daily crude oil production of the last decade at 10,566 MT.

OIL’s material subsidiary Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) also registered a robust performance, posting a 90% growth in PAT at ₹3,057 crore during FY26 with a GRM of $13.43/bbl.

Dr Ranjit Rath, CMD, Oil India Limited, attended a panel discussion during the CII Annual Business Summit 2026, sharing perspectives on India’s evolving energy landscape, the importance of enhanced exploration and expedited production of oil & gas; and the role of collaboration in driving the nation’s energy security.

Highlighting Oil India’s strategic growth roadmap, he spoke about OIL’s efforts in deepwater and ultra-deepwater exploration acreages, reinforcing its commitment towards frontier exploration initiatives.

The summit brought together leaders from industry, government, and academia to deliberate on pathways towards a resilient, future-ready, and growth-oriented economy.

OIL Green Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Oil India Limited, has entered an MoU with NRL on 20th April 2026, for collaboration in the development, procurement, and supply of renewable energy, with special emphasis on group captive requirement.

The MoU was signed by Shri Rajeev Kumar Tamuli, General Manager, OGEL, and Rupam Kumar Sarma, General Manager (Technical Services), NRL, in the august presence of the CMD, OIL & Chairman, NRL; Managing Director, NRL; Directors of OIL and NRL; CEO, OGEL; along with other senior officials from both organisations.

This initiative marks a significant milestone in OGEL/OIL's strategic commitment to integrating renewable energy into its operations, in addition to meeting the captive energy requirements of its group entities. The collaboration is envisioned to facilitate the diversification and scaling up of OGEL’s renewable energy portfolio, while supporting Oil India Limited’s net-zero target by 2040 and contributing to the Government of India’s vision of achieving net-zero emissions by 2070.

Oil India Limited has successfully spudded its first offshore well under the DSF regime in the KG Basin shallow waters on 31st March, 2026.

This marks a significant milestone, with OIL now operating three drilling rigs concurrently in offshore areas, strengthening its exploration footprint.

The appraisal well is aimed at evaluating established resources and assessing further potential in the block. Spread across 93.9 sq. km in the shallow waters of the Bay of Bengal, the block was awarded to OIL under DSF Round-II.

A steady step forward in unlocking offshore potential and enhancing India’s energy security.

A landmark achievement for India’s energy sector as Oil India Limited records its highest-ever daily oil & gas production of 1,47,159 BOE on 26 March 2026.

This milestone is backed by record drilling of 73 wells and 300 workovers, the highest on a year-on-year basis, during FY25–26 (till date). Notably, crude oil production of 80,060 barrels on the same day marks the highest daily output in the last 10 years.

These achievements reflect strong operational performance and OIL’s continued commitment towards strengthening India’s energy security.
