Farmer’s Day, observed on 23 December, marks the birth anniversary of Shri. Chaudhary Charan Singh — a leader who viewed agriculture not as sentiment, but as the foundation of the rural economy.

Farming demands a specific mindset:
decisions made early, outcomes revealed late, and very little room for reversal.

Weather shifts.
Soil reacts on its own timeline.
Corrections take an entire season.

Yet farmers return — adjust, recalibrate, and continue.

This collaboration marks an important step towards strengthening industry–academia engagement in PPP (Public Private Partnership) mode for a long term shared focus on cutting edge nano- technologies development for agriculture, extra mural research projects in Agriculture Science and Technology, knowledge exchange with skill development programmes and practical exposure of the students for their bright future. The MoU reflects the commitment of both the organizations to bridge the gap between scientific learning and real-world agricultural applications and IPRs.
The signing was undertaken in the presence of DrAbhishek Mathur PhD, FAPSR, FSPR, FMERU, FMERC. , General Manager - R&D and Techno-commercials, OMNI Group and Professor Dr Renu Joshi, Principal, SS Jain Subodh PG College. Nanotechnology leading to fertility in barren land!!

Norwegian scientists have developed a breakthrough technology that could reshape global agriculture: liquid nanoclay. This innovation can transform dry, lifeless sand into fertile soil in just seven hours, opening the door to farming in deserts and other arid regions once considered impossible to cultivate.

The method works by suspending tiny clay particles in liquid. When this mixture is applied to sand, the particles coat each grain, improving the soil’s ability to hold both nutrients and water. Early tests show that water use can be reduced by as much as 50 percent—an enormous benefit for areas facing severe water shortages.
