sectors in society, providing a wide range of services to minimalize illness. In 2004, the project "Al Salama eye hospital" was founded in Perinthalmanna by a group of like-minded visionaries. The goal was to provide world-class eye treatment to the community. Well-trained doctors and supporting staff, as well as high-quality facilities and equipment, are essential components of providing good medical treatment. Al Salama has been the unique super-specialized eye care center in the Malabar region since 2004. Expanding to institutions, Al Salama has grown significantly after establishing Kerala's first approved BSc Optometry program in 2005. Al Salama has grown to include multiple locations in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, with over 1500 students pursuing optometry as their career. Though the traditional way of learning is prevalent in India, we aim to elevate students' creative problem-solving skills for them to learn and excel in their careers.
2010 witnessed an eyecare hospital and an optometry college in Calicut. Al Salama has been widely accepted as an externship location by Salus University (Philadelphia, USA). Students in their last year of the Salus Doctor of Optometry program can complete their clinical requirements in Al Salama, India. The importance of architects cannot be overstated. Most importantly, architects contribute to society by shaping the city in which they reside. A senior architect can look back on his career and be proud of the projects he has worked on. With this in mind, the group devised a strategy to establish an Architecture Institute in 2011. In 2014, another milestone was laid in Kannur with an eyecare hospital and optometry college in Kannur. In due course, in 2018, an optometry college was established in Coimbatore. Our Vision is to become an apex-level autonomous higher education and research center that can empower society worldwide. As a part of the journey to the future, Al Salama group is now ABATE AS, a BSE-listed company. The group upholds integrity & innovation creating value in everything they do.
