✨ Glimpses of an Inspiring Alumni Talk | 20th April 2026 ✨
The Departments of Civil Engineering and Computer Engineering at Goa College of Engineering, in association with GCE Alumni Association and ACES & CURSOR, had the privilege of hosting an inspiring Alumni Talk featuring two of our distinguished alumni — Chirag Naik and Chaitanya Malik.
The session was a heartfelt celebration of their journeys — from classrooms at GEC to becoming successful entrepreneurs shaping their own paths. Their stories reminded us that success is not instant, but built on perseverance, courage, and consistent hard work.
💬 Mr. Chirag Naik, Managing Director of Commonwealth Developers Pvt. Ltd., shared how the values imbibed during his time at GEC shaped his mindset to take bold risks and contribute meaningfully to society. His simple yet powerful message — “SORRY, THANK YOU, and PLEASE” — resonated deeply, reminding students that humility and respect are the foundation of true leadership.
🌱 Mr. Chaitanya Malik captivated the audience with his journey from Computer Engineering to agricultural entrepreneurship in Pernem, Goa. Defying societal expectations, he followed his passion and emerged as an award-winning agriculturist. His story was a powerful testament to believing in oneself despite criticism and forging one’s own path.
Their experiences ignited a sense of purpose among students, encouraging them to explore beyond conventional boundaries and pursue what truly drives them.
