29 Jun 2023: It must have been a great honor to have Honorable Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari Saheb participate in your plantation program at Palkhi Mahamarg Package V, which is being constructed by T & T Infra Limited under NHAI (National Highways Authority of India). Such initiatives reflect his holistic approach to infrastructure development, which encompasses not only the construction of highways but also environmental preservation and beautification.
Under Shri Nitin Gadkari's leadership, the network of national highways in India has grown significantly. It has reached a length of 1.45 lakh kilometers, making it the second-largest in the world after the United States. This achievement is remarkable and demonstrates the government's commitment to enhancing connectivity and facilitating smoother transportation across the country.
The impressive growth of India's national highways, which has seen a 59 percent increase over the past nine years, is a testament to Shri Nitin Gadkari's vision and effective leadership in this sector. Moreover, initiatives such as the Bharatmala Pariyojana, aimed at developing and upgrading highways, expressways, and economic corridors, have further accelerated the pace of infrastructure development.
