Greetings from Team ASCI🎊

Google Summer of Code (GSoC), is an annual program funded by Google to enhance the Open Source Culture and projects. The idea is to get students involved and familiar with the open-source community and putting their summer break to good use!

ASCI is here to answer all you queries and doubts about how you can get selected in GSoC!

Do join us for an interactive session- get insights about GSoC 2023 with Arnab Banerjee, a COEP alumni and GSoC'er. Along with that, you'll get to learn from recent experiences of GSoC'ers of our college- Aarya Chaumal and Sairaj Kodilkar.

We are glad to inform you that Dr. Hasan Davulcu, a professor at Arizona State University would be joining us on 7th September 2022 to give a talk on Detecting and Measuring the Polarization Effects of Botnets on Twitter.

Dr. Hasan Davulcu is a professor in the School of Computing and Augmented Intelligence at Arizona State University. Dr. Davulcu developed patented AI and machine learning algorithms to mine information from multi-lingual text, image, and video sources on social networks.

Do join us to gain interesting insights on his work at the Arizona State University and to learn more about the Arizona State University.

Team ASCI conducted "Code Fiesta", a fun coding competition to help with internship or placement preparations as well as increase and enhance the coding culture in our college among students across all branches and years on 7th August.✨

The winners of the event are as follows:

#1: Avishkar Andhale (890 + 1240 = 2130)
#2: Suraj Yerkal (790 + 1240 = 2030)
#3: Siddhesh Pawar (690 + 1240 = 1930)

Consolations:
#1: Yash Burbure (610 + 1131.43 = 1741.43)
#2: Rohit Magar (410 + 1074.29 = 1484.29)
#3: Yash Suryawanshi (700 + 771.43 = 1471.43)

With the onset of placement and internship cycles, it might become a bit overwhelming to practice for coding tests. We, team ASCI present an event to get you through this! Get ready for Code Fiesta✨

Brush up on your DSA skills and practice competitive programming with your peers. Participate in Code Fiesta, a day completely dedicated to solve commonly asked programming questions! Details of the event are in the brochure attached. Fill out the form to register! 💯

There will be a total 14 problem statements. The breakdown of the event is as follows:
10:30 - 11:00 ~ Reporting and Instructions
11:00 - 13:00 ~ Part 1 (Easy /Medium Level)
13:00 - 14:00 ~ LUNCH Break
14:00 - 16:00 ~ Part 2 (Medium/Hard)

Platform for the event: Hackerrank
Judging criteria: Maximum questions solved(or maximum test cases passed) in least amount of time.
