la group of companies India, leaders in foundry chemicals, specialty castings and monitoring systems. And Klinger AG Switzerland famous for the first ever, Compressed Asbestos Gasket Sheeting, Level Gauge Glasses and Seat less and Glandless Piston Valves. The Three major pioneering, revolutionary and acknowledged mile stone contributions to the industry. And so this techno-commercial JV saw Uni Klinger ltd, being set up. The year-1983, the location - historical city of Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. On the footsteps of its principals, UKL started its Ahmednagar activities as a SBU known as Fluid Control division manufacturing Piston Valves, Level Gauges, and Steam Traps etc. Subsequently,1997 saw the setting up of the second SBU namely Fluid Sealing division on the out skirts of Pune, dedicated to Asbestos, Non-Asbestos gasket sheeting, followed by Spiral Wound, Industrial cut gaskets etc, literally everything gaskets.
25 years have gone by, both the SBU’s have grown manifold, with products in excess of 20 collectively handled by the two SBU’s. The control division went on to add Bellow sealed valves, the dictates of the times for valves with no leak to atmosphere. The complete range of Traps, with Mainfolds, Trap valve stations, Condensate Recovery Equipment, other Steam Engg. Services too were added to conserve energy by engaging the customers in Steam Audits, Consultancy, and Awareness Training Programs etc. Contemporary designed manufacturing units, state of the art equipments, well laid out precise process, correct material and strict QC norms of acceptance were emphasized. The acceptance by industries was rapid and total for products, individually and collectively, made with passion and sincerity. Also with the acceptance and validation by consultants and inspection Agencies, time had come to look beyond the borders. With a finger on the pulse of the industry, realization of the growing overseas market segment and a rapid response, UKL set about getting its products ready for the International arena. With ISO 9001 2008, IBR and EIL approvals already in place for the domestic market, the European market beckoned which resulted in UKL getting CE certificate from PED [97/23/CE Module H approval. KNPC approval too came in at a very opportune moment. What started as a nominal initial export through the South Asian market for Klinger products, snow balled into a huge market for UKL products. Starting with South Asian countries, followed by Gulf, Europe and America.. UKL is now already in the process of impacting its global footprint. Over the past couple of years, exports of Bellow Sealed Valves, Steam Traps, Manifolds and Trap Valve Stations [ITVS] and other Gasket materials by UKL has grown exponentially. UKL has an enviable proven track record, we wish to sustain, maintain and aim for UKL and its products to be ‘THE MOST PREFERRED BRAND BY INDUSTRIES THE WORLD OVER’.
