🐄 Trait School, Lesson 5: Udder Composite.
A high-producing cow with a poorly structured udder is a cow you will lose early. Udder Composite is the trait that protects against that.
UDC is a single score built from several udder traits, fore-udder attachment, udder height, width, cleft, depth and teat placement.
Why it matters on your farm: A shallow, well-attached udder stays clear of the ground, milks out cleanly and lasts over more lactations. A poorly structured udder breaks down early, no matter how much milk the cow gives.
PHANTOM leads the ABS India lineup with a UDC of +0.99, making him a top choice for herds that want long-lasting, well-formed udders.
