Current bookings for PVC are at 750 - 770 USD, with shipping line freight at 3600 USD. Despite this, securing space to load cargo remains difficult. Please verify if shipments have been booked with your indentor or shipper, as many are demanding an additional 1300-1500 USD for shipping.
The situation is increasingly unmanageable. Only book materials with parties who have confirmed Bill of Lading (BL) to avoid falling into traps, as no one can guarantee shipment at this time.
Most reputable companies have cancelled or delayed materials, with delivery dates now set for August 31st or later. It is advisable to book materials only after the elections, as Anti-Dumping Duty (ADD) is likely to be implemented in August, impacting upcoming shipments.
Following the death of the Iranian president, increased chaos is expected, potentially driving PE prices to new highs. Given these conditions, domestic buying is strongly advised as prices are anticipated to skyrocket in June. We may soon see PVC prices reaching levels observed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
