Nature has always made space for diversity 🌈

Nearly one-third of Laysan Albatross pairs in Hawaii are female-female who co-parent and maintain lifelong bonds that can last for decades.

For a long time, same-sex behaviour in animals was dismissed or hidden due to human bias and anti-LGBTQ+ stigma in science. Today, researchers understand these relationships as a natural part of many ecosystems, helping strengthen social bonds, reduce conflict, and support the survival of younger generations.

In nature, diversity isn’t an exception. It’s part of the balance. 💚

It was an adrenaline-filled few days at our Mumbai and Pune offices as our CEO Vrancken Peeters visited India this week.

He met with colleagues in both offices and shared insights and examples of our company's progress in action in his town hall and the candid conversations at the Unplugged: Leadership Connect sessions.

What stood out most was his openness to engage with teams and new joiners, taking the time to listen, understand their work, and help address real challenges.

Here’s to driving progress, together with our people!

🤖 AI is powerful, but it’s not perfect.

Sometimes, it confidently gives wrong answers. That’s called an AI hallucination.

Most hallucinations can be reduced with smarter AI use like writing clear, specific prompts
adding context and examples and even asking AI to cite sources.

AI should support human thinking, not replace critical thinking. 💡

The future belongs to people who know not just how to use AI, but how to use it responsibly.

What if we told you we’re losing forests as large as a country every year? 🌳

In 2026, World Environment Day focuses on climate change, on the urgent signals the Earth is sending, and the signals we choose to send in response.

The question is no longer whether change is coming, but how humanity guides it and how fast.

The good news? Research is leading the way, unlocking solutions to help protect, restore, and build a greener future. Let’s act on the signals that matter. 💚

🌈 Nature has always been more fluid than we believe.

Meet the Clownfish: born male, yet capable of changing into female when the ecosystem demands. No labels, no judgment, just adaptation, survival, and balance.

In a world that often tries to box identities into neat categories, nature reminds us that change is natural, diversity is essential, and fluidity is beautiful.

It’s time we drop preconceived notions and embrace the spectrum, just as the ocean has always done. 🌊

What we don’t talk about often matters the most.

For nearly half the world’s population, menstruation is a matter of health and dignity, yet it remains one of the most avoided conversations.

Through our Red Dot Bag activity, colleagues in Pune came together to create 1000+ eco-friendly disposal bags and spark conversations around building a .

It created space for open conversations, listening, and learning about something society has long taught us to avoid.

Because at Springer Nature, we believe knowledge should break barriers and normalising menstrual health is part of creating a more inclusive world!

Career Growth in Action at Springer Nature in India! ✨

This week, our colleagues in Pune and New Delhi participated in engaging and inspiring sessions as part of our global Career Growth Week, to learn, connect and grow together!

From a Career Café, where colleagues heard career stories from our leaders Nidhi Gulati and Pramod Modak and gained real-world insights, to interactive Skill Swap sessions that encouraged sharing and learning from one another, the week was filled with meaningful experiences.

They also explored diverse career paths, connected with experts across teams, strengthened their personal skills, and expanded their professional networks within Springer Nature.

Celebrating the power of language this World Day for Cultural Diversity, Dialogue and Development!

Our colleagues bring their cultures to life by sharing words from their regional languages that don’t have an exact translated equivalent in English.

Every language carries stories, emotions, and cultural nuances that often can’t be translated into English.

Through these words, let’s uncover the richness of our linguistic heritage and discover the beauty in what makes each language truly special. ✨
