Elscint Automation has its own factory with separate office space spread over 8000 sq. in the sprawling MIDC Industrial Estate at Bhosari, Pune, India. Elscint has a full fledged tool room equipped with the latest CNC machines along with all types of conventional machines for machining of its own components. It also boasts of all types of sheet metal working equipment, thus guaranteeing its customers high quality and precision jobs. It also has its own power generation arrangement which can be used in case of need.

A customer came to us with a persistent problem: their existing bowl feeder couldn't reliably handle C-brackets measuring 10mm × 80mm × 1.5mm — and the jams were killing their production flow plus a person needed to be constantly on the bowl clearing the jams.
The culprit? Asymmetric geometry. One side slightly longer than the other. Simple to describe, notoriously difficult to feed at speed.

We were asked to feed M10 × 50 mm screws at 40 parts per minute per row.

We delivered 80. ✅

Here's how:

A customer needed a dual-outlet vi****ory bowl feeder for M10 × 50 mm screws — head-up orientation, two outlets, 40 ppm per row. Using our Model 400 bowl feeder with a cast aluminium bowl with stainless steel tooling and LF II linear vi****or, we hit double the required rate without sacrificing orientation consistency or reliability.
The harder challenge wasn't speed — it was overflow control.
With two outlets running simultaneously, parts can back up, jam, or spill if the flow isn't balanced. We solved this through precision tooling inside the bowl itself, ensuring even distribution across both outlets. When both linear tracks are full, the system stops and restarts automatically — no mess, no jams, no downtime.
This is what experienced bowl tooling looks like in practice. The hardware matters, but it's the tooling know-how that turns a spec into a result.
Elscint regularly takes on fastener feeding applications that other manufacturers decline — and this project is a good example of why.

At Elscint Automation, we love a complex engineering challenge. Our latest custom vi****ory bowl feeder tackles super thin, open-ended O-rings that naturally want to bunch up and tangle.

How did we solve it? 🛠️ Custom bottom-bowl wipers to stop tangles before they start. 🎯 Strategic track orientation to align the open ends perfectly. ⚡ A precise pneumatic slide to present one single O-ring at a time.

The best part? The customer asked for a feed rate of 15 parts per minute. We delivered a steady 30 parts per minute! 🚀 That’s a 100% increase in production speed!
