More sustainable energy developments are underway from Clarke Energy India. 🌍 👷🏽‍♂️

We're pleased to announce the successful commissioning of a 0.85 MW biogas combined heat and power (CHP) plant in Howrah, West Bengal.

Installed by us and powered by an INNIO Group Jenbacher JGS 316 engine, the facility utilizes biogas generated from the sewage treatment process to produce electricity efficiently on-site, converting biogas into reliable, renewable energy.

A big congratulations to the Clarke Energy India team, including Jitendra Patil and Bhabani Sankar Panigrahy, who supported the successful commissioning of the project. 👏🏽

Turning waste into value - advancing biogas upgrading in India. 🌽♻️

Clarke Energy, a Rehlko business, has successfully delivered a membrane-based biogas upgrading system for Srinivas Waste Management Services (SWMS) in Chennai - marking a key milestone as the company’s first biogas upgrader designed and manufactured in India.

The fully integrated system converts organic waste into high-purity biomethane, achieving methane purity levels exceeding 97.4%. With a capacity of 600 Nm³/h of raw biogas, the installation supports efficient and scalable operations while contributing to India’s SATAT initiative.

This project reflects Clarke Energy’s ability to combine global expertise with local delivery - enabling practical, value-driven energy transition solutions.

Clarke Energy were delighted to celebrate UK-India collaboration and welcome the British Deputy High Commission to Chennai, India. 🫱🏽‍🫲🏽

This was to visit Clarke Energy India’s first membrane-based biogas upgrading plant and learn about India’s clean energy objectives.

The new system can upgrade 600 Nm³/hr of raw biogas into high-purity biomethane, making it ideal for urban waste-to-energy applications.
