It's not children's fault if they don't like studies, they are natural learners. It is our fault to keep them busy with monotonous methods and only text. FunSmartism Intelligence Center is where Multiple Intelligences meet Imagination! We’re not your typical tuition or coaching class. We’re a hands-on, intelligence development hub for kids aged 8 to 16 years, offering STEM-based, skill-building, and imagination-igniting workshops. From Robotics, Tech Toys, Space Science, and How-Stuff-Works sessions, to Canvas Painting, Aeromodelling, Self-Defense, Rubik’s Cubes, and Sudoku Bootcamps — each workshop sparks curiosity and builds 21st-century skills. Every session follows our powerful “learning by doing” model. No boring lectures. Just real tools, real thinking, and real results.
🧠 We help kids grow their Multiple Intelligences, not just marks — so they become thinkers, doers, problem-solvers, creators, and future innovators.

🧠 Busy Parent Hack #09 — Ask “How do you know?”
Your child says:
“This will definitely work.”
“He did it because of this.”
“This one is better.”
“I know the answer!”
Instead of immediately saying “Yes” or “No,” sometimes ask:
💬 “How do you know?”
Or:
“What makes you think that?”
You’re not trying to turn every conversation into an interrogation. 😄
You’re simply helping your child make a connection between:
What I think → Why I think it.
And sometimes they may realise:
“Actually… I’m not sure.”
That’s okay too.
Being able to say “I don’t know yet” is also part of good thinking.
🔎 Thinking Habit: Evidence-Based Thinking
The next time your child makes a confident claim, try one small question:
“What makes you think that?”
You might be surprised by the thinking that follows.

🧠 Busy Parent Hack #08 — Ask them to explain their choice
Your child chooses something.
Maybe a book.
A game.
A toy.
A route.
A way to build something.
Instead of simply asking:
“What did you choose?”
try:
💬 “Why did you choose that?”
There doesn’t have to be a complicated answer.
Even:
“Because I thought it would work better.”
is an opportunity to talk about their thinking.
You can follow up with:
“What made you think that?”
Now your child isn’t just making a choice.
They’re practising how to explain the thinking behind the choice.
🗣 Thinking Habit: Reasoning
And you don’t need to correct every answer.
Sometimes, just asking children to explain their thinking helps them become more aware of how they arrive at decisions.
That’s a tiny thinking moment hidden inside an ordinary conversation.
💙💛 That’s the idea behind FunSmartism Busy Parent Hacks.

🧠 Busy Parent Hack #07 — Don’t rescue at the first sign of difficulty
Your child’s puzzle isn’t working.
Their Lego structure keeps falling.
They can’t figure out how something fits.
And you hear:
“Mummy! Papa! Help!” 😄
Of course, sometimes they genuinely need help.
But before jumping in with the solution, try giving them a little thinking time.
Ask:
💬 “What could you try next?”
Or simply say:
“Give it another try. I’m here if you need me.”
That small pause gives your child an opportunity to experience something important:
“I can struggle with a problem without immediately giving up.”
The goal isn’t to make children struggle unnecessarily.
It’s to avoid solving every small difficulty before they get a chance to think.
💪 Thinking Habit: Persistence
And remember:
You don’t need an hour every day to develop better thinking habits. Start with 5-minute thinking moments hidden inside everyday life.
👉 Save this one for the next “I can’t do it!” moment.

🧠 Busy Parent Hack #06 — Turn waiting time into observation time
Waiting at a doctor’s clinic.
Waiting for food.
Waiting in the car.
Waiting for a class to begin.
Instead of automatically reaching for a phone, try this:
👀 “Tell me 3 things you notice.”
It could be anything:
🔹 Something moving
🔹 Something unusual
🔹 A sound they hadn’t noticed before
🔹 A pattern, colour or shape
There isn’t necessarily a right answer.
The point is to encourage your child to slow down and actually look at the world around them.
You can make it more interesting by asking:
“What did you notice that I didn’t?”
👀 Thinking Habit: Observation
You don’t need to create a special activity every day.
Sometimes, even waiting can become a 2-minute thinking moment.
That’s the idea behind FunSmartism Busy Parent Hacks. 💙💛

🧠 Busy Parent Hack #05 — When it doesn’t work, ask “What could you change?”
The first attempt didn’t work.
Your child’s tower fell.
The paper model collapsed.
The idea didn’t work the way they expected.
Instead of immediately saying:
“Try this…”
pause and ask:
💬 “What could you change?”
Now the child has to look at what happened and think about their next move.
Maybe they change the design.
Maybe they change the material.
Maybe they try a completely different approach.
The goal isn’t to make sure their first idea is perfect.
It’s to help them experience:
“If this didn’t work, I can change something and try again.”
🔄 Thinking Habit: Adaptability
This is one reason we love hands-on experiences at FunSmartism—children get to try, see what happens, and make changes.
You don’t need an hour-long activity for this.
Sometimes, one question at the right moment is enough.
👉 Save this hack for the next time something doesn’t work.

🧠 Busy Parent Hack #03 — Ask before fixing
Your child’s toy breaks.
Their tower falls.
Something doesn’t work.
And your first instinct may be:
“Give it to me, I’ll fix it.” 😄
Next time, pause.
Try asking:
💬 “What would you try first?”
You don’t have to leave them completely on their own.
Just give them the first opportunity to think of a possible solution before you provide yours.
Maybe their idea works.
Maybe it doesn’t.
Either way, they’ve had a chance to practise thinking through a problem.
🧩 Thinking Habit: Problem-Solving
The goal isn’t to make children solve everything independently.
It’s to gradually make “Let me think what I could try” a natural response when something goes wrong.
And remember:
You don’t need an hour every day to develop better thinking habits. Start with 5-minute thinking moments hidden inside everyday life.
That’s the idea behind FunSmartism Busy Parent Hacks. 💙💛
👉 Save this one for the next “Mummy/Papa, fix this!” moment.
