Learning from the Field: Exploring Urban Waste Segregation and Collection in Bhubaneswar!

As part of the Urban Research Methods course, first-year MBA students in Urban Management & Governance (UMG) at the School of Human Settlements, XIM University, explored waste segregation and collection practices in Bhubaneswar.

Through surveys in Saheed Nagar and VSS Nagar and discussions with key stakeholders Welfare Foundation and INDIA, students gained hands-on insights into how institutions and communities shape the city’s waste management system.

A big thank you to Welfare Foundation and INDIA for their impactful work and to for facilitating this enriching field experience!
