With expansion plans in Sponge Iron and Steel making in its integrated steel plant and towards backward integration of the processes for being self reliant in raw materials, company has also decided to get into coal mining as one of its operational verticals for which Ministry of Coal allotted the company Coal Blocks of 36Million Tons of Coal capacity which are expected to operational within next
12months. Nakoda Group, as a part of backward integration policy, has always insisted on being self-reliant to strengthen itself and to ensure uninterrupted supply of quality raw materials to its integrated steel plant at Siltara, Raipur. Company has been allotted Iron Ore mines in the state of Chhattisgarh, which will ensure consistent availability of quality Iron ore for the integrated steel plant. The prospecting of Iron Ore in the allotted area is in progress and it is expected to complete within 2 months. Company requires Ferro Alloys for manufacturing of Billets on the one hand and having surplus power on the other hand. Hence company has decided to set-up Ferro Alloys Plant towards backward and forward integration with total annual production capacity of 26400MT. Company is in process of acquisition of land for its Mega Project in RAIPUR-TILDA area. Company will come out with the mega project with an investment of Rs. 722.00 Crore in phased manner. For the proposed Mega Project company also filed application with Chhattisgarh Government for signing of MOU.
