Solvent cement welding is most reliable and proven joining system for 100% leak proof plumbing. Within 20 second after applying the last cement coating to pipe, insert the O.D. of pipe into I.D. of the fitting and give a 1/4th turn to distribute the cement evenly. While giving the 1/4th turn ensure that the pipe and fittings get seated according for 15 second to the alignment marking made. Hold the joint tightly together for 15 seconds to 3 minutes or more depending the size of the pipe and fittings. Remove excess cement from the pipes and fittings.
