Faculty Visit to CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar 🌟

Our visit to the CSIR–Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSMCRI), Bhavnagar, was truly an enriching and insightful experience.

The team had the opportunity to explore advanced membrane research facilities, interact with experts, and gain firsthand exposure to membrane manufacturing processes and characterization techniques. From polymer selection and membrane fabrication to module development and industrial applications, the visit provided valuable understanding of cutting-edge developments in membrane technology.

The discussions on real-time applications in water treatment, desalination, and industrial separations were particularly inspiring and highly relevant for Chemical Engineering education and research.

Such academic–research institute interactions strengthen collaboration, enhance practical knowledge, and open avenues for student projects, internships, and joint research initiatives.

Industrial Visit to Fishfa Agri World Ltd. 🏭🌱
The students of Chemical Engineering Department under IIChE student chapter-MU had an enriching industrial visit to Fishfa Agri World Ltd. on 23 Feb 2026, where they gained valuable insights into large-scale agro-processing operations, quality control systems, and sustainable production practices.
During the visit, students explored:
🔹 Industrial processing techniques and plant operations
🔹 Quality assurance & safety protocols
🔹 Process optimization and production management
🔹 Sustainable practices in agro-based industries
The interaction with industry professionals helped bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world industrial applications.
