National Science Day is celebrated in India on February 28 every year in honour of the Nobel Prize-winning Physicist Sir CV Raman. February 28 marks the day on which his discovery of the Raman Effect came to light in 1928. For this discovery, Sir CV Raman was awarded a Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930.

Science is the pursuit and application of knowledge and understanding of the natural and social world following a systematic methodology based on evidence. Scientific methodology includes the following: Objective observation: Measurement and data (possibly although not necessarily using mathematics as a tool) Evidence.

Ravidas Jayanti is the birth anniversary of Saint Ravidas Ji who existed during the era of Kabirdas. It is observed on Magh Purnima as per Hindu calendar
Ravidas was born in Seer Govardhanpur village, Uttar Pradesh
Ravidas was born in 1376 and his parents are Santokh Dass and Kalsa Devi. Ravidas was a great saint as well as a poet and famous social reformer.
Ravidas was one of the most popular and guiding saints of the nirguna sampradaya which means sant parampara in the North Indian Bhakti movement.
Guru Ravidas was from the Harijan caste and dedicated his whole life to fight for injustice based on caste and status.
The teaching of Guru Ravidas is built-in ‘Shabds’, and such 40 Shabds are a portion of the Shri Guru Granth Sahib.
The symbol for the Ravidassia followers is Har which means ALL and it was followed by many kings and queens too.
