Polytechnic, Roorkee (Formerly known as Kanhaiyalal Technical Institute) established in 1956 by a well known donor Late Shri Rai Sahab Kanhaiya Lal Ji. Inter College), a P.G. College (K.L.D.A.V. Degree College) and a Tehnical Institute (K.L. Polytechnic) in roorkee and gave an opportunity to the citizens of roorkee and nearby areas to take the benefit of academic, higher and technical education at one place. He was born on Sri Krishna Janmastmi, so named Kanhaiya by his parents.
