At Technology Center, Burla, CEO Parveen Verma unfurled the National Flag, followed by a vibrant cultural programme featuring performances by employees and their children.

Waterlogging has affected power infrastructure across the area, with 1 PSS and 3 out of the 29 11 kV feeders affected due to waterlogging. A total of 27 distribution transformers have also been impacted, while 29 11 kV feeders are currently under breakdown.

Our teams are closely monitoring the situation and are working continuously to assess the affected network and undertake restoration in a safe and phased manner. Power supply will be restored as soon as site conditions are safe and suitable for energisation.

Consumers are requested to stay away from waterlogged areas, fallen poles and electrical installations, and to avoid contact with any electrical equipment in or near water.

Rourkela city is experiencing widespread flooding following heavy to extremely heavy rainfall since last night. Due to severe waterlogging and prevailing site conditions, power supply has been switched off in several affected areas as a precautionary safety measure.

Teams are closely monitoring the situation and assessing conditions across the affected network. Restoration will be undertaken in a phased manner once the areas are safe for power distribution.

We urge everyone to stay away from waterlogged electrical installations, poles and other electrical infrastructure and prioritise safety.
