𝗔 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆.

The ozone layer may be far above us, but protecting it is closely connected to the choices we make on Earth.

At Eternal University, Baru Sahib, International Ozone Day 2026 was observed through an awareness programme organised by the Green Innovation Club, in association with the NSS Unit and Institution's Innovation Council (IIC-SIT).

The programme focused on this year’s theme, “𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘁,” marking 10 years of sustainable cooling efforts under the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol.

The highlight of the programme was an informative session by Dr. Rakesh Joshi , Assistant Professor, Environmental Sciences, Eternal University, who explored key issues including ozone depletion, UV radiation, ozone-depleting substances, the Antarctic ozone hole, the Montreal Protocol and Kigali Amendment, and the importance of sustainable cooling and low-GWP alternatives.

The programme was held under the patronage of Dr. Prof. T. S. Banipal, Dean Academics, Eternal University, and was graced by Dr. Kamal Kishore , Dean, Akal College of Basic Sciences, Eternal University, Baru Sahib (H.P.) .

Students Ms. Harpreet Kaur and Ms. Rubalpreet Kaur, B.Sc. Psychology, welcomed the gathering, highlighted the significance of International Ozone Day and introduced the speaker.

Organised under the guidance of Dr. Amit Saurabh, Convenor, Green Innovation Club, and Dr. Anita Chaudhary, Programme Officer, NSS, the programme brought together 83 students and 5 faculty members from different streams and departments.

At Eternal University, environmental education is not limited to the classroom. It is about helping young minds understand global challenges, question their impact and become more conscious of the choices that shape our shared future.

Protecting the ozone layer is a global responsibility. Building awareness is where meaningful action begins.

Invisible to the eye, yet indispensable to life.

Microorganisms are everywhere—driving life, transforming ecosystems, influencing our health and food, and powering scientific discovery. Though unseen, their impact is all around us.

This fascinating invisible world took centre stage at Eternal University on 17 September 2026, as the Department of Microbiology, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and IQAC, celebrated International Microorganism Day 2026 under the theme “Celebrating the Invisible World.”

The celebration brought microbiology to life through an engaging blend of science, creativity, innovation, and student expression, featuring:

🔬 µTalks — insightful perspectives on the fascinating world of microorganisms by Dr. Bharti, Ms. Achhada Ujalkaur Avatsingh, Ms. Babita, and Ms. Yukta Arora

🎭 µSkit — a creative student performance bringing microbiological concepts to life, led by Dr. Hemant Dasila.

🎥 µ-in-Action — a showcase highlighting microorganisms in action

💡 µBytes — student-led presentations sharing fascinating microbial insights

📝 µPoem — a creative expression celebrating the hidden world of microbes
The programme was honoured by the presence of Prof. T. S. Banipal, Dean, Academic Affairs, as the Chief Guest, and Prof. Kamal Kishore, Dean, Akal College of Basic Sciences, as the Guest of Honour.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Nasib Singh, who warmly welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members, and students and set the tone for the celebration by highlighting the significance of microorganisms and the importance of nurturing scientific curiosity among students.

Special appreciation Dr. Hemant Dasila, Programme Coordinator, and the faculty members of the Department of Microbiology for their valuable guidance and efforts in creating a platform where scientific curiosity, creativity, innovation, and student expression came together. The event reflected the department’s commitment to nurturing scientific curiosity, encouraging student engagement, and making microbiology accessible, meaningful, and inspiring. When we look beyond what is visible, we discover a world that is fundamental to life itself.

हिंदी केवल भाषा नहीं, हमारी विरासत भी है

भाषाएँ केवल संवाद का माध्यम नहीं होतीं। वे हमारी संस्कृति, विचारों, ज्ञान और पहचान को पीढ़ी-दर-पीढ़ी आगे ले जाती हैं।

इसी विचार के साथ इटरनल विश्वविद्यालय, बड़ू साहिब में 14 सितंबर 2026 को हिंदी दिवस के अवसर पर हिंदी विभाग द्वारा “हिंदी भाषा: परंपरा, प्रासंगिकता और भविष्य” विषय पर विशेष अकादमिक कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया।

कार्यक्रम के मुख्य वक्ता केंद्रीय हिंदी संस्थान, आगरा के दिल्ली केंद्र से डॉ. साकेत बहुगुणा ऑनलाइन माध्यम से जुड़े और उन्होंने हिंदी की ऐतिहासिक यात्रा से लेकर डिजिटल युग में इसकी बदलती भूमिका तक महत्वपूर्ण विचार साझा किए।

उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों को हिंदी को केवल एक विषय के रूप में नहीं, बल्कि ज्ञान, संवाद, रोजगार और रचनात्मक अभिव्यक्ति की सशक्त भाषा के रूप में देखने के लिए प्रेरित किया।

कार्यक्रम में लगभग 250 विद्यार्थियों, शिक्षकों और प्रतिभागियों ने उत्साहपूर्वक सहभागिता की। अकाल मॉडल स्कूल के विद्यार्थियों की सक्रिय उपस्थिति ने आयोजन को और जीवंत बनाया।

कार्यक्रम के दौरान हिंदी साहित्य, पठन-संस्कृति और पुस्तकालय की भूमिका पर भी विचार साझा किए गए, जिससे भाषा के अध्ययन को कक्षा से आगे एक व्यापक ज्ञान-अनुभव से जोड़ा गया।

आज जब भाषा और तकनीक साथ-साथ आगे बढ़ रहे हैं, हिंदी के सामने सवाल केवल यह नहीं है कि “हिंदी का भविष्य क्या है?”

सवाल यह भी है कि हम हिंदी के भविष्य को कितना समृद्ध बनाने में योगदान दे सकते हैं।

हिंदी दिवस का यह आयोजन इसी दिशा में एक सार्थक संवाद रहा।

हिंदी को पढ़ें। हिंदी में सोचें। हिंदी में सृजन करें। और इसे नई पीढ़ी तक पहुँचाएँ।

On International Ozone Day 2026, Eternal University brings students and the academic community together to explore an issue that connects environmental sustainability, climate action and human well-being.

Under the global theme “𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘁”, the programme will highlight the importance of sustainable cooling and the role each of us can play in building a healthier environment.

ਉਗਵਣਹੁ ਤੈ ਆਥਵਣਹੁ ਚਹੁ ਚਕੀ ਕੀਅਨੁ ਲੋਆ ॥

ਪੰਚਮ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਰਗੱਦੀ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੀ ਸਮੂਹ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਖ -ਲੱਖ ਵਧਾਈ ਹੋਵੇ ਜੀ

ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਰਾਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਿਥੀ ਚੰਦ ਆਪ ਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਡਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਆਪ ਜੀ ਗੁਰਗੱਦੀ ਦੇ ਵਾਰਸ ਨਾ ਬਣ ਬੈਠਣ। ਜਦੋਂ ਆਪ ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਬਣੇ ਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਿਥੀ ਚੰਦ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਅੱਗ
ਬਬੂਲਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਇੱਕ ਸਾਜ਼ਿਸ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੁਗ਼ਲ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਜਰਨੈਲ ਸੁਲਹੀ ਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ‟ਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਫੌਜਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਭਿਜਵਾਇਆ। ਸੂਚਨਾ ਮਿਲਣ ‟ਤੇ ਸੰਗਤ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਚੇਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਸੁਲਹੀ ਖਾਂ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂ ਨਾ ਆਪ ਜੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਲਾਹ ਸਫਾਈ ਦਾ ਖਤ ਭੇਜੋ। ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਖਾਮੋਸ਼ ਰਹੇ। ਸੁਲਹੀ ਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕ ਆਉਣ ‟ਤੇ ਸੰਗਤ ਨੇ ਫਿਰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਸੱਚੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ! ਆਪ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਕੁਝ ਪਤਵੰਤੇ ਸੱਜਣ ਸੁਲਾਹ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਭੇਜ ਦੇਈਏ। ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਰਹੇ। ਫਿਰ ਤੀਜੀ ਵਾਰ ਸੰਗਤ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਉਪਾਅ ਦੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਆਉਣ ‟ਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਰਮਾਇਆ:-

ਪ੍ਰਥਮੇ ਮਤਾ ਜਿ ਪਤ੍ਰੀ ਚਲਾਵਉ ॥
ਦੁਤੀਏ ਮਤਾ ਦੁਇ ਮਾਨੁਖ ਪਹੁਚਾਵਉ ॥
ਤ੍ਰਿਤੀਏ ਮਤਾ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰਉ ਉਪਾਇਆ ॥
ਮੈ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੁਹੀ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
(ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅੰਗ ੩੭੧)

ਇਲਾਹੀ ਕੌਤਕ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਸੁਲਹੀ ਖਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਿਥੀ ਚੰਦ ਦਾ ਇੱਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੜਦਾ-ਬਲਦਾ ਭੱਠਾ ਵੇਖਣ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਘੋੜਾ ਐਸਾ ਤ੍ਰਬਕਿਆ ਕਿ ਜਾਣੋ ਕਿਸੇ ਇਲਾਹੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਨੇ ਧੱਕਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੱਠੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਝੋਂਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਸੁਲਹੀ ਖਾਂ ਸੜ ਕੇ ਰਾਖ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਖ਼ਬਰ ਮਿਲਣ ‟ਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੇ ਉਚਾਰਿਆ:-

ਸੁਲਹੀ ਤੇ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ਰਾਖੁ ॥
ਸੁਲਹੀ ਕਾ ਹਾਥੁ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਪਹੁਚੈ ਸੁਲਹੀ ਹੋਇ ਮੂਆ ਨਾਪਾਕੁ ॥

ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਵਸੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰਵਾਰ ਕੁਝ ਦੂਰੀ 'ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਬੜੀ ਰਮਨੀਕ ਥਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ 'ਰਾਮਸਰ ਸਰੋਵਰ' ਦੀ ਸਿਰਜਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਪਾਵਨ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਦੇ ਕਿਨਾਰੇ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਖਮਨੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਪਾਵਨ ਬਾਣੀ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।
ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਰਾਮਸਰ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਨੇ 'ਆਦਿ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ' ਦੀ ਸੰਪਾਦਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਲਿਖਵਾਉਂਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਇਸ ਕਾਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਲ 4 ਸਾਲ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਲੱਗਾ। ਆਦਿ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਚਾਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਮੇਤ 15 ਭਗਤਾਂ, 11 ਭੱਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ 4 ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦਰਜ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਜਾਤ-ਪਾਤ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਫਰਕ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਟਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਜੋ 15 ਭਗਤਾਂ ਤੇ 11 ਭੱਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਆਦਿ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਚ ਦਰਜ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਜਾਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕਈ ਭਗਤ ਰਾਮਾਨੰਦ ਜੀ ਵਰਗੇ ਉੱਚ ਕੋਟੀ ਦੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਸਨ, ਉੱਥੇ ਕਈ ਵਰਣ ਵੰਡ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਨੀਵੀਂ ਜਾਤ ਦੇ ਸੂਦਰ, ਭਗਤ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਵਰਗੇ ਚਮਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਭਗਤ ਨਾਮ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਵਰਗੇ ਛੀਂਬੇ ਵੀ ਸਨ। ਆਦਿ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਚ ਜਿੰਨਾਂ 26 ਭਗਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭੱਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦਰਜ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ 23 ਭਗਤ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਸਨ, ਉੱਥੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਦੇ 3 ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਫਕੀਰ ਸਨ, ਇਵੇਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਧਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਖਰੇਵਾਂ ਮਿਟਾ ਕੇ ਬਰਾਬਰਤਾ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਚਾਰ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਆਦਿ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਵਿਚ ਦਰਜ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਦੋ ਰਬਾਬੀ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਬਾ ਸੱਤਾ ਜੀ ਤੇ ਬਲਵੰਡਾ ਜੀ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਸਰੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਭਤੀਜੇ ਬਾਬਾ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦਰਜ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਤੇ ਚੌਥੇ ਵਡਭਾਗੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਭਾਈ ਮਰਦਾਨਾ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦਰਜ਼ ਹੈ।

Over the course of the camps, around 1,200 NCC cadets from nearly 50 schools and colleges will participate in a range of training activities designed to strengthen both physical and leadership capabilities.

Under the leadership of Commanding Officer Col. Vivek Bhatara, cadets will undergo training in marching, squad formations, parade commands, r***e shooting, weapon training, map reading, sports and physical training.

Yet, the true purpose of such a camp goes beyond drills and commands.

It is about building discipline that becomes character, teamwork that becomes camaraderie, and confidence that becomes leadership.

For young cadets, the camp is an opportunity to learn through action, embrace challenges and develop qualities that will continue to guide them long after the camp concludes.
