🔬 Introducing our new engineering series:
**Vacuum Process Fingerprinting**
Did you know that every vacuum system has its own unique "fingerprint"?
By continuously recording the pressure-versus-time profile during every pump-down cycle, engineers can establish a baseline signature for each vacuum system. Once this baseline is created, even the smallest changes can reveal developing leaks, pump wear, contamination, valve issues, and other process abnormalities—often before they affect production.
This transforms a vacuum gauge from a simple measurement device into a powerful predictive maintenance tool.
📘 This is **Post 1 of our 5-part Vacuum Process Fingerprinting series** and also **our longest application note**, laying the foundation for the posts that follow.
Whether you work in semiconductor manufacturing, PVD/CVD coating, vacuum furnaces, research laboratories, or industrial vacuum systems, we hope this series provides practical insights you can apply in the field.
Follow along as we explore how vacuum data can be transformed into actionable engineering intelligence.
