It was a great honor and privilege to have Mr. Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao (Hon’ble Minister for Information Technology, Industries & Commerce, Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Government of Telangana) inaugurate our new Process Development Facility in presence of Ms. Nandini Piramal (Chairperson, Piramal Pharma Ltd), Mr. Harinder S. Sikka (Group Director, Strategic Business, Piramal Enterprises Limited), Mr. Jayesh Ranjan (IAS, Principal Secretary (IT, E&C), Government of Telangana) and Mr. Shakthi M Nagappan (Director (LS), Government of Telangana).

With this new facility, Yapan has enhanced its ability to support end-to-end development and manufacturing of RNA, DNA and gene therapy products starting from plasmids. The expansion includes three upstream suites (including Bio-Safety Level-2 containment), a downstream process development lab, an analytical development lab, and supporting infrastructure.

We look forward to supporting our customers and partners with the enhanced capabilities and capacity.

Piramal Pharma Ltd.’s investment to acquire a minority Stake in Yapan Bio marks an important milestone in the journey of the company. This is a significant validation of Yapan Bio’s capabilities and expertise to provide differentiated and value-added services to the global biotechnology/biopharma companies. Piramal Pharma Solutions (PPS), Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization of the Piramal Pharma Limited (PPL), is a leading CDMO with significant capabilities in the areas of anti-body drug conjugation and fill finish services with global presence and facilities.
This partnership with PPS will allow us to take Yapan Bio through its next phase of growth and provide integrated services on a global scale to our current and future partners and customers. We look forward to working with the colleagues from PPL and PPS to serve our customers with broader capabilities and services.
