Cynation – We have an expertise in carrying out cynation reactions with reagents like Sodium Cyanide and acetone cyano
hydrin. Chlorination – We have successfully synthesized a number of chlorination products in ton loads with a wide range of reagents like Chlorine gas, thionyl chloride, PCl3, etc. Bromination – Bromination is carried out using reagents like liquid bromine and Dibromodimethyl hydantoin. Current development is also being carried out to develop aromatic ring chlorination. Esterification – Kalki uses clean technologies to carry out syntheses. We carry out esterifications using resins, catalytic sulphuric acid, etc. Hydrolysis – We also handle chemistry of hydrolysis of various groups like cyano group, ester groups, etc. Protection Chemistry – We have been working on the large scale protection chemistry using protective groups like trityl chrlodie, etc. Chiral Chemistry – We have worked on chiral separation of isomers of a few compounds. We have successfully scaled the chiral separation to a scale of 1 MT / Batch. Sulphonation & Nitration – Sulphonation and nitration of various aromatics has been mastered at Kalki.
