A joint MSME dialogue meeting of three states—Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Delhi—was held in Lucknow on 02.12.25.

A delegation from the Banarasi Vastra Udyog Association also participated in this meeting.

During the discussion, the Association’s General Secretary, Shri Devendra Mohan Pathak, effectively presented the concerns of our industry regarding the mandatory 45-day payment obligation for MSME manufacturers and its impact on the Banarasi textile sector. He highlighted the difficulties arising from Section 43B(h), especially the challenges related to delayed and non-receipt of payments.

Our concerns were heard attentively, and assurance was given that some decision or resolution would be considered in the forthcoming meeting to be held in Delhi on this matter.

The Association’s delegation included Shri Pawan Modi (Minister), Shri Atul Seth (Executive Committee Member), and General Secretary Shri Devendra Mohan Pathak ji.

This initiative reflects his proactive leadership and strong commitment to safeguarding the interests of the Banarasi textile and handloom industry. The Association deeply appreciates his timely support and decisive action, which strengthens trust, security, and transparency for artisans, traders, and stakeholders across the sector.

The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Power Loom Bunkar Vidyut Flat Rate Yojana continues to empower Varanasi’s weaving community.

On 24 October 2025 in Varanasi, ministers Rakesh Sachan (MSME) and Ravindra Jaiswal (State Minister) held a meeting with local weavers and their representatives about subsidies under the scheme.

The meeting discussed the financial support available via the scheme, emphasised modernization (solar energy adoption, new machines) and announced a textile park on 75 acres in Ramna (Varanasi district) to support the weaving industry.

बनारसी वस्त्र उद्योग एजेंट विवाद समिति के अंतर्गत एक अति आवश्यक बैठक समिति के अध्यक्ष पवन मोदी जी की अध्यक्षता में देवेंद्र मोहन पाठक के प्रतिष्ठान पर आहत हुई - यह एक अति महत्वपूर्ण बैठक थी बैठक में बिहार व महाराष्ट्र का काम करने वाले एक एजेंट द्वारा हमारे सदस्यों का तकरीबन 3 करोड़ रूपया बकाए के संदर्भ में एजेंट को बैठाया गया और उसे पर गंभीर चिंतन किया गया सामूहिक रूप से निर्णय लिया गया की एजेंट पर सख्त से सख्त एक्शन लिया जाए एजेंट ने रिकवरी करवाने का आश्वासन दिया l

एजेंट से वार्ता करने के पश्चात निर्णय लिया गया इसके ऊपर वैधानिक कार्यवाही अवश्य किया जाए ताकि भविष्य में ऐसा कोई भी कार्य किसी एजेंट के द्वारा ना हो व्यापार में कार्य कर रहे एजेंट लोगों को भविष्य में संभाल कर काम करने की चेतावनी भी दी गई कि अगर कोई भी एजेंट मार्केट में गलत कस्टमर को माल दिलवाएगा तो उसे पर सख्त कानूनी कार्यवाही करवाने का प्रयास किया जाएगा l

बैठक में प्रमुख रूप से जिन-जिन व्यापारियों का उक्त एजेंट से विवाद है वह उपस्थित रहे l
