7 Tips to Save Your Liquid Device
1. Do not turn it on or plug it in – A phone that is wet and plugged into a charger may cause serious safety risk
Leave it wet.
2.Don’t do the rice trick – Boards that are kept moist before fix is attempted often have a higher rate of fix than a dry board where corrosion can set in.
3. Remove the Battery – If your device is a closed system where you can’t easily pull the battery, bring it to a reputable fix shop to clean the inside.
4. Clean the Inside. Bring your device to a reputable shop. They will use appropriate tools and cleaners to remove minerals and signs of corrosion.
5.Replace the Battery – It’s highly recommended to replace the battery. Liquid can pe*****te the outer wrap of your battery, and impact the functionality, life, and safety
6.Don’t Expect Miracles – Success in reversing impacts of liquid pe*******on is dependant on two primary factors
a. Submersion (how much and for how long was your device submerged)
b. Time from Submersion (success rate falls with each hour liquid is on your device. We have a 80 – 90% success rate in reviving your device within the first hours of liquid pe*******on
7. It might not be as it seems – Even the best efforts and apparent ‘success’ of liquid service – where everything seems to be working great, and your device revived – can be misleading. Liquid can pe*****te components and the impact not seen for some time.
