The Wushan Goddess Escalator is as grand as its name suggests. Being the world’s longest escalator system, it climbs a distance equivalent to an 80-story building, and was developed by Schindler to help the local population tackle one of the most strenuous terrains of China. It connects the banks of the Yangzi to the hilltop behind the city, serving not only as an indispensable mode of transportation but also, increasingly, as a buzzing tourist spot.

This project gave us what we love the most: a challenge, and the opportunity to bring our Swiss precision to create yet another landmark of vertical mobility.
