Ferrosilicon can be produced by reducing sand or silica with coke and reacting it with iron derived from scraps or mill scale. Ferrosilicons having 15% silicon content can be derived from blast furnaces using acid fire bricks. Ferrosilicons having a proportion of 15%, 45%, 75%, and 90% silicon can be found; the rest is comprised of iron. Other constituents like calcium and aluminum have a presence of around 2%. Close to 90% of ferrosilicon is used in producing steel and iron. Growth in the Global market is set to be driven by growing demand for ferrosilicon as an inoculant and deoxidizer across several end-use industries.

Infimerx Quartz is best suited for the production of Ferro Silicon Alloys because our quartz contains SiO2 of 98.5% minimum and Al2O3, MgO, and CaO content are minimum and our P2O5 content does not exceed 0.02%. Our Quartz undergoes a meticulous process to acquire its good electrical, optical and thermal performance to accommodate various Industrial purposes. Infimerx Quartz has no clay inclusion and moisture absorption does not exceed 5%. Barite plays an essential role as a weighting material in drilling muds used in oil and gas drilling, primarily to prevent the explosive release of gas and oil during drilling. Barite is used in drilling mud because it is Clean, easy to handle, relatively inexpensive, chemically inert, and nonabrasive. As much as 5 tons of barite per 1,000 feet of high-pressure well drilling may be required. Some muds having of specific gravity as great as 2.5 ore used.
Infimerx produces the barite which meets government regulations and barite quality requirements set by the operators. After mining, our Barite is industrially processed and undergoes a meticulous process to acquire its good features of low heavy metals, high purity, high density, insolubility in water, and low toxicity. Our Quality control operators ensure that the quality of barite delivered accords with the technical and heavy metal content requirement. Our barite is globally accepted for its quality and extremely low soluble chemically inert behavior and cost-effective weighting agent.
The quality is determined depending on the barite application, by following characteristics: -
• Physical: density
• Whiteness,
• Particle’s size; -
• Chemical content of' Fe2O3 AI2O3, SiO2 in ppm

Silica is essential to the production of both ceramics and refractories. When manufacturing ceramics, the use of silica (SiO2) helps modify thermal expansion, regulate drying and shrinkage, and improve structural integrity and appearance. Silica is necessary for both glazing and body construction of products such as tableware, sanitary ware, and floor and wall tiles. Ceramic products like crockery, sanitary ware, tiles, etc play a very important role in our daily life. This is because, apart from their decorative look, ceramic products are primarily hygiene products. This is also one of the chief reasons for their wide usage in bathrooms and kitchens in modern households to medical centers, laboratories, milk booths, schools, public conveniences, etc. The ceramic industry has a long history, with the first instance of functional pottery vessels being used for storing water and food, which is thought to be around since 9,000 or 10,000 BC. Clay bricks were also made around the same time. The ceramic industry has been modernizing continuously, by newer innovations in product design, quality, etc. Though there are a number of large companies in the ceramics sector, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) account for more than 50% of the total market in India. The Rs 26,500-crore ceramic tiles industry in India is set to witness nearly 9 percent growth in demand this year, higher than the 3-5 percent growth recorded last year.
Infimerx Silica sand is well known for its very low levels of deleterious impurities, particularly clay, iron oxides, and refractory minerals, such as chromite. Infimerx provides the finest quality of quartz which is well accepted by much leading Metal casting Industries. Large tonnages of Quartz sand are exported globally, used to make molds and cores for metal castings in iron and steel Foundries.
Infimerx Quartz sand has been washed to remove clay and other impurities carefully screened and classified to give the desired size distribution, and can be re-blended with clays and other materials to produce optimized sand for the casting produced.
Due to the demands of modern high-pressure molding machines and the necessity to exercise close control over every aspect of casting production, Infimerx provides the ideal Quarts sand - sand consisting of uniform-sized rounded grains of quartz, each grain evenly coated with the thinnest necessary layer of the most refractory and fattest clay”.
To ensure the quality and permeability of the mold, we provide appropriate and uniform-sized rounded grains of quartz, Porosity of the molds controls its permeability, the highest porosity will result from grains that are all approximately the same size and grain size distribution controls the permeability of the mold.

Quartz is one of the hardest minerals, scoring a very high 7 on Mohs scale (the highest being diamond with a score of 10). This makes it extremely resistive to any form of either physical or chemical corrosion. Owing to its natural hardness, quartz happens to be the 4th most scratch proof mineral on earth, humbled only by diamond, sapphire and topaz. Quartz is found all over the globe in spite of varied temperature conditions, this makes it a mineral which can withstand extremely high temperature. It is also a fantastic isolator in which the anisotropic crystals contained in quartz show linear dimension alterations in tandem with the alteration of electric field as applied to certain faces of quartz. These qualities make quartz an extremely important crystal that can serve several electronic purposes, even though it is not a very good conductor itself. Quartz exhibits a maximum amount of chemical inactivity when in contact with most known chemicals to man. It would take a lot to change or alter the chemical composition of quartz. Most forms of quartz are imbued with beautiful colors and happen to display some very exclusive and exquisite patterns. It is therefore that variant quartz varieties are employed to make jewelry as well as other artifacts such as statuettes, vases and other encrusted trinkets.
Infimerx Quartz undergo a meticulous process to acquire its good electrical, optical and thermal performance to accommodate with Glass industries and Ceramic Industries. Infimerx Quartz is globally accepted for its unique material i.e., high purity of SiO2 and to its mechanical, electrical, thermal, chemical and optical properties.

09/04/2021

The global oil drilling industry continues to experience a growing demand, as the world’s fuel consumption continues to rise. The growing consumption for oil and gas industry is directly proportional to the rise in need for exploring and drilling new oil and gas wells. Many major oil and gas manufacturing regions are boosting oil and gas production to keep up with the demand and consumption of oil and gas. However, the recent drop in oil and gas prices has slowed down the upstream sector for a short period, but it is likely to recover in the coming years.
Properties like non-corrosiveness, non-abrasiveness, insolubility in water, inertness and high specific gravity enables barite’s application as a weighting agent in drilling operations for removing the cutting from the bits, transporting cutting to the surface to reduce the friction in the drilling string, control pressure, prevent blow-out and at the same time to provide lubrication.
