A successful solar livelihood intervention does not end with installation - it continues through reliable after-sales support, regular follow-up, and active user engagement.

Solar-powered livelihood systems often operate in challenging environments. Over time, factors such as rodent damage to wiring, exposure to harsh weather conditions, wear and tear, accidental damage, or other unforeseen circumstances can affect system performance. Such challenges are not uncommon in field-based technologies.

What matters most is how quickly these issues are identified and addressed to minimize disruptions to livelihoods.

In the video below, one of our solar-powered loom users shares her experience after encountering a technical issue with her system. Upon receiving the complaint, our technical team promptly visited the site, identified the problem, and restored the system to full functionality.

This experience also highlights an equally important aspect of sustainable service delivery: the proactive role of end users. Timely reporting of issues, without delay, enables technical teams to diagnose problems early and prevent minor faults from developing into major breakdowns. Prompt communication from users is often the first step toward effective and efficient resolution.

Sustainable impact is built on partnership. While service providers must ensure responsive after-sales support, end users also play a crucial role by reporting issues as soon as they are noticed.

Together, timely user feedback and responsive technical support help ensure that solar-powered livelihood solutions continue creating economic and social impact for years to come.
