QASCCO is proud to announce the commencement of the “Rehabilitation Works at Al-Fao Substation for the 132kV and 400kV GIS” project, in collaboration with GE Power.

Our scope of work includes the replacement of the 400kV GIS circuit breakers, rehabilitation of cable box compartments at the 132kV switchgear, in addition to comprehensive testing and commissioning activities.

This project marks another step forward in supporting the reliability and modernization of the power infrastructure. ⚡

⚡ Powering the Future — New Project Started ⚡
We are proud to announce the commencement of works for the 132/33 kV GIS Imam Sadek Grid Substation Project located within GGIP-Ratawi Solar TPIF project. With MITAS Energy and Metal Construction Inc.
This project marks an important milestone, as we begin the construction phase for a critical infrastructure asset that will support reliable power distribution and operational continuity in the field.
Our team has been fully mobilized on site, and significant progress has been made in the civil works, and we look forward to delivering this project in line
with the highest standards of safety, quality, and engineering excellence.

A valuable milestone achieved in the “132kV GIS Replacement at South Ammara Substation” project!

As part of our ongoing project with the Ministry of Electricity / General Company for Electrical Energy Transmission – South Region, we are undertaking the replacement of the 132kV GIS at Al-Ammara Substation.
Our engineers, alongside the MOE representative, recently participated in the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and technical training for the 132kV GIS at the manufacturer’s facility (GE) in China.

This hands-on experience strengthens project coordination, enhances technical expertise, and ensures full compliance with all technical specifications and performance requirements.

The project is currently in its first stage, where our scope of work includes the complete replacement of the existing 132kV GIS and protection system, covering dismantling of the existing equipment, supply of the new GIS, installation, testing, and commissioning, in addition to integration with the protection and control system.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the GE team for their excellent cooperation and warm hospitality.

The completion of High Voltage Testing works for the 132kV GIS at Al-Najaf-North Substation as part of the POC project with GE company, for the high voltage testing works services for the GIS at 7 (Seven substations).

Last week, Qascco's Engineers have successfully completed the training conducted by Techimp/Altanova group-Dobel Company, on the theory of Testing & Commissioning of PD Monitoring System on different electrical assets in the electrical substations. The training took place in TECHIMP ENGINEERING Company at Bologna Italy.

Last Monday, QASCCO’s team in Amman office have attended a specialized technical workshop, organized by NEPCO (Jordan) and CIGRÉ Jordan, in cooperation with Hitachi Energy, titled “Power Conversion and Power Quality Solutions” .and was held at the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO).

The workshop was filled with an atmosphere of interaction between the speakers and the attendees, as it provided valuable, rich, and highly engaging information, it broadened our perspective and enhanced our understanding of competencies in the electrical systems.

🚀 Successful Completion of High Voltage Testing at Al-Fao Substation! ⚡

Over the past four months, QASCCO has been actively conducting electrical testing at Al-Fao Substation, with Aktifsel Company, as part of the Iraq Interconnection Project.

🔹 Scope of Work:
✅ Comprehensive testing of the 400kV Hybrid GIS
✅ Testing of the 90MVA Shunt Reactors & other outdoor electrical equipment
✅ Oil filtration works for the shunt reactors

🎯 Milestone Achieved!
Yesterday, we successfully completed the High Voltage Testing for the two diameters of the 400kV Hybrid GIS, along with the Partial Discharge (PD) Test. This achievement marks a significant step toward ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the substation.

Officially starting the works at Al-Faw Project named "Design, Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of Control, Protection, Telecommunications and SCADA Systems for Iraq Interconnection at Al Faw Substation "with Cegelec company.
The scope of works includes Installation, testing and commissioning for protection, metering, telecommunication & SCADA systems, for the Interconnection project at Al-FAW substation.

البدء رسميا بأعمال مشروع الفاو المسمى "تصميم وتوريد وتركيب وفحص وتشغيل أنظمة التحكم والحماية والاتصالات السلكية واللاسلكية و سكادا للربط الكهربائي للعراق في محطة الفاو الفرعية" مع شركة سيجيليك.
يشمل نطاق الأعمال تركيب وفحص وتشغيل أنظمة الحماية والقياس والاتصالات و سكادا لمشروع الربط الخليجي في محطة الفاو الفرعية.
