My name is Viktor Tumi Ólafsson, and I am a recently hired cadet with Ryanair.
The APS MCC course at Focus Aero Solution was, without a doubt, the best decision I have made in my flight training. The team at Focus provided me with the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully complete an airline pilot assessment and, subsequently, the 737-type rating course.
I enrolled in the APS MCC course at Focus Aero Solutions in February of last year. The recently developed course is competency-based and marks a significant improvement to the classic MCCJOC. With in-depth training for airline operations, the course bridges the gap between students' CPL/ME-IR training and their first type rating. In addition, Focus' experienced instructors are involved in the airline training environment, making the course challenging, insightful, and fun.
Once I graduated, I applied to Ryanair and was granted an interview at their headquarters in Dublin. The day after the interview, Ryanair offered me a position on a type rating course on the Boeing 737. I have since finished the type rating and been allocated a permanent base in Dublin, Ireland, making my dream of flying for an airline come true!
