☀️ Energy communities stay free – and now the EU agrees 10 times more. 🍃
On March 10, 2026, the European Commission officially recognized what we’ve been building at landlele for years: energy communities are the future. With the new Citizens Energy Package, the EU is finally unlocking the full potential of local, renewable energy - removing barriers, boosting funding, and making it easier for citizens to produce and share their own power.
Why does this matter?

✅ The EU now more than ever sees what we’ve always known: Communities that generate and share energy are cheaper, cleaner, and more resilient than fossil fuels.
✅ No more red tape: The Citizens Energy Package calls on Member States to remove administrative barriers and provide targeted financial incentives (like tax breaks and lower levies), making it easier for citizens to set up and join energy communities — just as we’ve been doing with our projects.
✅ A 10x growth opportunity: The EU aims to multiply renewable capacity in communities, turning them into the backbone of Europe’s energy independence.

🌱🌞 We're excited to share the success of our project with Cornus, an agricultural business that has embraced sustainable energy with a state-of-the-art photovoltaic system! This project, managed by landlele from permits to collaboration with local energy authorities, showcases our commitment to driving the renewable energy revolution. Now based in Estonia, we continue to expand our mission across Europe.

🔹 Technology: 20 kWp Photovoltaics, 60 kWh Batteries, 7 kW Electric Vehicle Charger
🔹 European Grant: 80% Grant on CapEx from the European Commission Recovery and Resilience Facility
🔹 Return on Investment: 2.1 years
🔹 Environmental Positive Impact: 29.8 tCO2/year avoided

This project demonstrates how renewable energy can be seamlessly integrated into agricultural activities, providing both environmental and economic benefits. The significant reduction in CO2 emissions and the quick return on investment highlight the tangible benefits of sustainable energy solutions.

🌍 From February 11 to 12 2026, we joined E-World Energy & Water, a leading trade fair for the energy sector, to accelerate our mission: building energy communities that empower people and businesses.

At landlele, we connect households, SMEs, and organizations to affordable, community-owned wind and solar energy. In Essen, we engaged with 139 potential partners and investors and strengthened collaborations with 45 organizations, exploring new ways to scale our model.

The future of energy is collaborative, local, and sustainable.
