🌱♻️ New project approved! 🚀

We are glad to announce that our research group TRACE Lab of Disva - Univpm is partner of the project ALGINLOOP (ALGae and INsects in LOOp Production), funded by Fondazione Cariverona.

🔬 The goal? To build a circular and sustainable value chain linking microalgae and edible insects (the house cricket Acheta domesticus) to produce:
✅ novel food and feed enriched in omega-3 fatty acids
✅ low-impact processes through the reuse of by-products (frass)
✅ innovative solutions in line with the European Green Deal

🤝 The project involves the collaboration of:

DiSVA – UNIVPM (scientific coordination, Prof. Cristina Truzzi)

Italynsect s.r.l. (industrial cricket farming)

ENERECO / ERGEVA (microalgae production and technological support)

With ALGINLOOP we aim to prove that what is often considered “waste” can become a valuable resource, improving nutrition while reducing environmental impact.

🌍 A research project combining innovation, circular economy and sustainability… with a concrete vision for the future of food.

🌊 BRIGANTINE: a new ally for the Adriatic
European scientists and engineers have developed an innovative marine drone to monitor seagrass meadows, key ecosystems for biodiversity and CO₂ absorption.

The BRIGANTINE project, with the involvement of UNIVPM, combines technology and research to turn data into concrete tools for conservation and sustainable management. A decisive step towards a more resilient future for our sea.
