In Alberobello, material takes shape through repetition and light.
Rows of trulli rise side by side, their cone-shaped roofs forming a pattern that repeats across the landscape. The porous, chalky texture of warm limestone defines the edges of dusty alleys, where the intense Apulian sunlight contrasts with cool shadows, and the scent of wild herbs lingers in the air.
This balance is reflected in the Alberobello palette.
The architectural texture of a polyurethane-coated surface, echoing the trulli roofs, is paired with a mineral finish of the same nature, reminiscent of stone shaped by time.
The warm, sun-baked yellow of a metal topcoat carries the direct and uncompromising energy of southern light. Meanwhile, a rough black granularity, subtly emerging through a matte chrome effect, evokes the depth created by the interplay of light and shadow.
In Alberobello, material comes before decoration. What remains is surface, light, and durability—
just as with Sivam’s coatings.
