Lugre successfuly launched on board Blueghost Mission 1!! 🚀🌕

The Lunar GNSS Receiver Experiment (LuGRE) will demonstrate GNSS-based spacecraft navigation in transit to the Moon and on the lunar surface. This will open the door to operational use of existing Earth-based GNSS signals for real-time onboard positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) around the Moon, increasing mission capability while reducing reliance on ground networks for PNT.

The LuGRE payload is a collaboration between NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center and the Italian Space Agency (ASI). The payload will achieve three primary objectives: a) to receive GNSS signals at the Moon and characterize the signal environment, b) to demonstrate navigation and time estimation using GNSS data collected at the Moon, and c) utilize the collected data to support development of GNSS receivers specific to lunar use. We are excited to announce that we will land our space GNSS receiver on the Moon as part of an agreement between the Italian Space Agency and NASA, experimenting for the first time in history positioning services at almost 400.000 km distance from Earth!

Qascom was present at ION GNSS+ 2019 in Miami, Florida. ION GNSS+ is the world's largest technical meeting and showcase of GNSS technology, products and services.

This year Qascom's President Oscar Pozzobon, was part of the organization committee, and chaired a robust PNT panel with distinguished leaders in the GNSS security domain. Qascom was present with a booth and presented its latest product news:
-the total security solution including the new QB100, our hardware for jamming and spoofing detection and geolocalization;
-the new QA707, with remote database capability for total threat management
-and the new QN400, a flexible software GNSS receiver based on zynq technology.
Qascom continues its mission to support its customer with the 100% security solutions for GNSS. ION GNSS+ has been a success both for product demonstrations and leadership talks, confirming Qascom excellence in the GNSS security sector.

Qascom will be sponsoring NavSpace 2019, the 3rd Workshop on , and will be held at the palazzo del BO, Padova, Italy, June 18th and 19th.
The workshop, organized in the authentic and historical Galilei aula magna, focuses on all matters of robust navigation for ground, aeronautics and space applications, and is an unique opportunity in Europe to meet experts to discuss and receive updates on these topics.

ESA-ESTEC 14-16 December 2016, Noordwijk

Qascom participates to Navitec 2016 navigation conference hosted by ESA in coordination with CNES, DLR, and the University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich. The conference will be in ESA – ESTEC in The Netherlands between 14th and 16th of December 2016

Qascom will present the following activities:

· GPS and Galileo developments on board of the International Space Station (ISS) within the Space Communications and Navigation (SCAN) Testbed, in collaboration with ESA and NASA

· R&D on Galileo E1D authentication solutions and CSK tracking: a novel approach for high rate GNSS signals Qascom is also part of Telespazio presentation of the Deployment and Testing of an Interference Monitoring Service Prototype for Critical Infrastructures.

A team of expert in Qascom presented to the University the current status of projects and activities in the domain of GNSS Jamming and spoofing detection and localization.
