Our Story
Cavitation is related to formation and rapid collapse of v***r and gas bubbles in a liquid medium: this phenomenon is usually unwanted, as these rapid collapses generate extremely high local pressure and temperature, causing the damage of metal surfaces. However, if cavitation is generated and controlled on purpose, some processes can take advantages of these local high temperature and pressure. E-PIC S.r.l. has developed a new innovative hydrodynamic cavitation technology (ROTOCAV), which can be installed for different applications and in different fields, for example: 1. Biodiesel production 2. Biomass pretreatment (BIOGAS) and particles size reduction 3. Homogenization and mechanical treatment of immiscible liquids to generate stable emulsions and nano-dispersions 4. Chemical reactions 5. Wastewater treatment 6. Extraction processes 7.
