𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 — 𝗔𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗽
Tomorrow, 𝟯𝟬 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆, is 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: the day when humanity exhausts all the resources the Earth is able to regenerate in a year.
From tomorrow we'll be living in ecological debt — consuming the equivalent of 𝟭.𝟳𝟯 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘀, the highest level of overshoot ever recorded.
We want to share what it means, for us, to act concretely every day.
Since 2018, our 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 has been equipped with a hydroelectric plant and several photovoltaic installations. Here's what we produce in a year thanks to these renewable sources:
→ 𝟯𝟲.𝟵𝟰% of the energy we use comes from renewable sources → 𝟭,𝟲𝟵𝟵,𝟯𝟬𝟰.𝟲𝟵 𝗸𝗪𝗵 produced in a year from hydroelectric and photovoltaic power → 𝟴𝟬𝟱.𝟰𝟳 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗢𝟮 avoided in a year → 𝟯𝟭𝟳.𝟳𝟳 𝘁𝗼𝗲 (tonnes of oil equivalent) saved in a year
To give a real sense of scale:

Earth Overshoot Day reminds us that the time to change course is shrinking every year. That's why we keep investing in clean energy and in an industrial model that looks beyond its own balance sheet, toward the planet's.
