📢 A new article of our Newsletter is now online.
In this edition, we present a vibration monitoring campaign carried out in an industrial warehouse in Alife (CE), Italy.
How do you evaluate the impact of industrial machinery vibrations on surrounding soil and nearby buildings while keeping production running?
The monitoring campaign focused on measuring ground-borne vibrations generated by production activities within the facility and evaluating their propagation to a nearby residential building.
Using high-resolution accelerometric sensors and advanced analysis software as S2-VIB and S2-DDA, S2X performed vibration measurements at the site in accordance with UNI 9916, assessing long-duration excitation scenarios and comparing the measured values with the threshold limits specified by the standard.
The results provided a clear picture of the interaction between industrial activities and the surrounding environment, supporting a reliable evaluation of structural safety conditions.
💬 Have you ever dealt with vibration monitoring in industrial environments close to residential areas?
💬 What were the key challenges you faced during a project of this kind?
