In the world of packaging, aluminium is highly functional both in terms of food preservation and in terms of sustainability and recyclability.
In Italy, the recycling rate for aluminium screw caps is around 50%, while the average in other European countries is around 40%.

Aluminium caps, in addition to being considered state-of-the-art closures, are defined as sustainable closures because they can be recycled indefinitely without affecting their quality.

However, the “cap” consists of three elements:
- The aluminium capsule
- The plastic gasket
- The plastic seal

Therefore, in order to recycle the aluminium, these plastic components must be removed.
Thanks to its targeted design and cutting-edge technology, our plant is able to separate these different materials during the recycling process.
This allows us to dispose of bottle caps together, obtaining different sizes of high-quality aluminium.
