E’ il 1993 l’anno in cui Luigi Liani decide di creare con il figlio Alessandro Video Systems. Inizialmente l’azienda produce apparecchiature avanzate nel settore della stampa fotografica, ma in seguito decide di applicare il know-how acquisito nel campo dell’immagine allo sviluppo di sensori per il controllo di processo in diversi settori industriali. Oggi in seguito alla prematura scomparsa nel 2

004 del fondatore, è Alessandro Liani a guidare l'azienda. L’esperienza tramandata negli anni si è così consolidata permettendo a Video Systems di lavorare fianco a fianco con alcuni tra i leader dei principali comparti industriali. Il marchio Video Systems è diventato sinonimo di tecnologia efficace e di alta qualità.

AI, impresa, territorio. E una convinzione chiara: l’innovazione ha valore quando mette al centro le persone.

Siamo stati orgogliosi di partecipare all’evento “Le 100 migliori imprese del Medio Friuli”, dove Video Systems è stata riconosciuta come Impresa Best Performer e dove il nostro CEO, Alessandro Liani, è intervenuto nel panel dedicato alle sfide delle imprese.

Dal confronto è emerso un messaggio molto attuale:
l’intelligenza artificiale non è più il futuro, è già parte concreta del presente industriale.

Nel suo intervento, Alessandro Liani ha condiviso una visione che in Video Systems ci guida da anni: utilizzare AI e tecnologie avanzate non solo per il controllo qualità e l’efficienza dei processi, ma anche per contribuire a ridurre complessità e stress nei contesti produttivi, mantenendo sempre l’uomo al centro del processo.

Siamo orgogliosi di condividere che Video Systems è stata riconosciuta come
“Impresa best performer del Medio Friuli” nell’ambito dell’evento
“Le 100 migliori imprese del Medio Friuli”.

Un riconoscimento che valorizza il percorso costruito in oltre 30 anni di attività,
basato su innovazione, ricerca e sviluppo e collaborazione con il territorio.

Nel corso dell’evento interverrà anche il nostro CEO, Alessandro Liani, all’interno del panel “Le sfide delle imprese”, portando la nostra esperienza nello sviluppo di soluzioni avanzate di visione artificiale e intelligenza artificiale per l’industria.

From research to real-world impact: AI for industrial quality control

We had the opportunity to present our work at I-ESA 2026, sharing the results achieved within the ZDZW project for a real industrial use case: quality control in coffee capsule production for illycaffè.

Our contribution was part of the workshop:
“Enabling Automated Model Generation with agentic AI through interoperability frameworks: Exploring Opportunities and Challenges from Business Process to Simulation Models.”

In this context, we demonstrated how AI-driven and IIoT-connected vision systems can enable real-time, inline quality control in high-speed production environments.

The system performs continuous image acquisition and analysis, ensuring 100% inspection of each product, even at high production rates.
This allows:
- automatic detection of anomalies
- immediate feedback on the production process
- faster root cause identification
- consistent product quality throughout the entire assembly cycle

Beyond the specific application, this work highlights a broader direction:
the integration of AI, interoperability frameworks and industrial data to move from reactive quality control to predictive and adaptive manufacturing systems.

A concrete step towards Zero Defect Manufacturing.

NVIDIA GTC 2026 has been an incredibly powerful and inspiring event.

From March 16 to 19, Video Systems Srl had the opportunity to explore the latest advancements in AI, with a strong focus on Physical AI, robotics and industrial applications.

The delegation was composed of Mattia Di Giusto, Alessandro Liani and Fabio Ortolano.

What clearly emerged is that AI is no longer just about data — it is increasingly about interaction with the physical world, enabling machines to perceive, understand and act in real time.

This evolution is particularly relevant for industrial environments, where computer vision and AI are becoming key enablers of quality, efficiency and process control.

A truly stimulating experience, confirming how fast this technological landscape is evolving.

🌍 MWC Barcelona 2026 – A great experience for Video Systems

The Mobile World Congress 2026 has come to an end, and for Video Systems it has been an intense and inspiring week filled with innovation, conversations and new opportunities.

We are especially grateful to EIC - European Innovation Council , ITA - Italian Trade Agency, and PwC for the visibility and opportunities they provided throughout the event.

A special highlight was the participation of our CEO Alessandro Liani in several panel discussions, sharing our perspective on industrial AI, computer vision and the role of trusted AI systems in modern manufacturing.

Being present at MWC both within the EIC Pavilion at 4YFN and the Italian Pavilion with ITA allowed us to engage with innovators, partners and industry leaders from across the world.

Events like MWC confirm how AI is increasingly shaping the future of industrial production, and we are proud to contribute to this transformation.
