Nutriflo was created by an orthodontist and a pediatric dentist who shared the same concern: many problems with jaw growth, breathing, and sleep begin with how babies are taught to feed.

Feeding is not just about nutrition. The way a baby sucks and swallows helps shape their jaws, airway, and even how well they breathe and sleep. These early movements guide how the face grows and how much space the airway has as your baby develops.

When babies breathe well, they sleep better. And good, deep sleep is essential for healthy brain development, learning, and growth—especially in the first years of life.

Why Feeding Mechanics Matter

During breastfeeding, babies use negative pressure. Their lips seal tightly, the tongue lifts to the roof of the mouth, and the jaw moves gently forward and back. This natural motion helps the jaws grow forward, opens the airway, and creates space for teeth to grow in properly.

With most regular bottles, feeding works differently. Milk flows by gravity, the lips often do not seal fully, and the jaw tends to move downward instead of forward. The tongue does less of the work, and the muscles of the cheeks and lips compensate. Over time, this can limit natural jaw growth and airway development.

What Makes Nutriflo Different

Nutriflo is designed to feed like the breast.

With Nutriflo:

The lips seal tightly around the ni**le, like a suction cup
The jaw moves forward and back, not downward
The tongue lifts and presses against the palate
Milk flows only when your baby creates negative pressure
Curved shape ensures correct feeding posture
The feedback membrane confirms effective feeding pressure
This is the same movement pattern seen in breastfeeding.

Nutriflo’s soft, collapsible ni**le allows the tongue to move freely and do the work it is meant to do. As the tongue pushes upward and forward, it gently guides jaw growth, helps widen the airway, and supports healthy space for future teeth.

From Feeding to Better Sleep

Jaw growth and airway development affect how well a baby breathes during sleep. When the airway has enough space, breathing is easier and sleep is deeper and more restorative.

Nutriflo is more than a bottle.
It is a feeding system designed to support healthy development from the very first feeds.

The Design Thinking course run by Tobia Repossi in Green Product Design at Its Machina Lonati Brescia ended on May 2026.

Tobia Repossi, Marcello Ziliani, Barbara Scaroni (who also acted as coordinator of Product Design) and Raffaele Lupoli evaluated 30 students, divided into 10 different groups, attending the first year.

Students have chosen an object from a box of items that were thrown away, mostly plastic garbage. They have redesigned it, dissected, disassembled and designed a concept for a new improved and innovative object of the same kind. All according to the methodology and the rules of Design Thinking.

Francesca Ardigò, Viola Rattotti and Renato Pangrazio have designed a fan, Ludovica Arena, Laura Acunzo and Ginevra Ferrari a small modular construction system for kids, Mirko Tagliani, Riccardo Gonzini and Ivan Ritacco a walkman – inspired device to bring with you your personal music.

Maria Filimon, Miriam Elisa Pasini and Maddalena Casali have designed an a wooden board game for children, Matteo Greotti, Cristian Lussignoli and Simone Rossi a retro-fit AI device for glasses while Aleksander Baroni, Stefano Pinelli and Daria Sabatosvka a power bank .

Matteo Lussignoli, Elisabetta Tarantino and Irene Fiini have invented a new food dispenser for dogs, Nicola Bosio and Davide Bracchi a customisable E-Cigarette while Andrea Diani, Fabio Albergini and Giacomo Aldo Pignata have rethought a sneaker with interchangeable soles.

Lucrezia Sardini, Carlo Cecchini Manara and Samuele Bosco have literally reinvented the wheel (there steering wheel) for the car of the future.
