Have you ever stepped inside an EOAT?
With the automation safely stopped, of course. 😉

Here’s a rather unusual point of view from the custom gripper we designed to pick, handle and empty bags.

From the inside, you can see the gripping pins that securely hold the bag throughout the process, preventing it from slipping during the robot’s movements.

A different perspective, but the same FPS philosophy: every detail has a purpose, even the ones you don’t normally get to see.

The mother of all EOATs.
Over 4 square meters of engineering, designed to handle loads of almost 2 tons while maintaining outstanding precision throughout every movement.

At this scale, everything matters: structure, load distribution, gripping points, balance and perfect integration with the automation.
Because size and power mean nothing without control.

Almost 2 tons. One precise movementengineered by FPS Automation.

When the load increases, every vacuum cup must work in perfect balance.
This custom EOAT uses multiple suction points to lift and move large components safely. Airflow and vacuum levels are precisely calibrated to ensure even load distribution, stable gripping and reliable handling throughout every movement.

More vacuum cups mean more control, but only when the entire system is engineered as one.

Small components. Big engineering.
This custom EOAT is designed to position multiple plastic parts inside the mold and extract each one with maximum precision after molding and trimming.

A complex sequence of synchronized movements, engineered to deliver accuracy, repeatability and reliability in every cycle.

Complexity isn't measured by the size of an EOAT.
It's measured by the precision it delivers.

This custom end-of-arm tooling is designed to handle multiple small plastic components throughout the molding process. Each part is accurately positioned inside the mold, then, after molding and trimming, individually extracted with exceptional precision.

Handling dozens of small components simultaneously requires:
– precise positioning
– synchronized movements
– repeatable accuracy
– reliable gripping at every stage of the cycle

Because when tolerances are minimal, every detail of the design matters.

At FPS Automation, even the most complex handling challenges are engineered into efficient, reliable and fully customized automation solutions.

When handling a bag, grip stability is everything.
This custom EOAT is equipped with specially designed gripping pins that securely hold each bag throughout the entire handling process, preventing unwanted movement or accidental release.

Once the bag has been emptied, an integrated pusher automatically ejects it into the collection container, preparing the system for the next cycle.

Simple in appearance.Engineered for reliability.

16/07/2026

The challenge isn't moving a bag.
It's recognizing it, picking it correctly and repeating the process with the same accuracy, cycle after cycle.

In this automation, a vision system identifies the position of each bag and guides the robot throughout the entire operation.

The robot then:
1️⃣ picks the bag
2️⃣ transfers it to the cutting station
3️⃣ opens and empties it with controlled movements
4️⃣ deposits the empty bag into the collection container

Vision, robotics and process engineering work together as a single automation.

Because true efficiency doesn't come from one technology alone.
It comes from integrating every element into a reliable, repeatable and intelligent process.

Watch the video to see the automation in action and discover how FPS Automation transforms complex operations into seamless production processes.

Before any automation reaches production, it must be tested.
Every movement, every sequence, every interaction between robot, EOAT and process.
Even when the destination is a trade show.

This robotic island was fully assembled and tested at FPS Automation before shipment, to ensure:
- correct integration between components
- smooth operation
- reliable cycle ex*****on
- safe working conditions

Because automation should never be “assembled and hoped for”.
It must be engineered, verified and ready to perform from day one.

From production lines to exhibition setups, the approach remains the same:test everything.

4 grippers.
6 grippers.
Or even more.
In automation, the number of gripping points is never the real point.

What matters is:
- where they are positioned
- how they work together
- how precisely they interact with the component
- how efficiently they support the process cycle

Every EOAT is designed around a specific production need.

Sometimes the best solution is simple.
Sometimes it requires a more articulated configuration.

In both cases, the goal remains the same:precision, reliability and flexibility in real production conditions.

That’s the difference between adding components…and engineering a handling solution.
