Did you know that FAE excellence starts with a simple sheet of steel?

At the FAE plant in Gambellara, Italy, the first steps of the manufacturing journey take place. Here, steel sheets are cut to shape by high-powered industrial lasers, beginning a highly automated production process that combines precision, efficiency, and traceability to create FAE’s product frames.

At the heart of the system is an 80-meter-long automated warehouse with over 500 shelves, which stores both raw steel sheets and pre-cut parts, making them available for the following production stages.

Four automatic laser cutting systems process steel sheets up to 3 meters long, 1.5 meters wide and 2.5 cm thick. The cutting specifications are sent directly from the technical department: using these, the machine loads the sheet, performs the cutting, separates the usable components from the scrap and deposits everything back into the warehouse.

Another reason why FAE products make the difference in the field.

Lo sai che l’eccellenza FAE parte da una lastra d’acciaio?

Nello stabilimento FAE di Gambellara, in provincia di Vicenza, prende forma una delle prime fasi del processo produttivo: il taglio laser delle lamiere di acciaio. Qui nasce la base dei telai FAE, grazie a un sistema altamente automatizzato che unisce precisione, efficienza e tracciabilità.

Il cuore dell’impianto è un magazzino automatico lungo 80 metri, con oltre 500 ripiani, che stocca sia le lamiere grezze sia i pezzi già tagliati, rendendoli disponibili per le fasi produttive successive.

Quattro impianti di taglio laser automatici lavorano lamiere fino a 3 metri di lunghezza, 1,5 metri di larghezza e 2,5 cm di spessore. I programmi di taglio vengono inviati direttamente dall’ufficio tecnico: il macchinario carica la lamiera, esegue il taglio, separa i componenti utili dagli sfridi e deposita tutto nuovamente nel magazzino.

Anche grazie a questo FAE fa poi la differenza sul campo.

When working on utilities, fiber optic lines or pipelines, operators need one thing above all: a precise, clean trench that reduces finishing time and follow-up work.

FAE wheel saws for skid steers are designed to create trenches in asphalt and concrete. With optimized side output, they ensure high trench cleanliness and enable work at the desired depth, preventing processed material from falling back into the cut. The result is reduced time on the jobsite and lower operating costs.

The PT550 D:MINE passes the rigorous CWA and IMAS tests!

Mechanical demining vehicles must be capable of withstanding extreme stresses from both anti-personnel devices and anti-tank mine detonations. At an independent specialized testing ground in Croatia, the PT550 D:MINE underwent a series of trials to obtain CWA 15044:2009 and IMAS 09.50 certification.

The tests challenged the vehicle in extreme conditions: working depth, vegetation, anti-personnel mines, and anti-tank mines containing up to 6.5 kg of TNT.

The result?

100% neutralization of the tested anti-personnel mines, confirming the performance, safety, and reliability of the PT550 D:MINE.
This is an important certification for FAE and a guarantee for all operators involved in humanitarian demining and landmine clearance operations.

I veicoli da sminamento meccanico devono resistere alle sollecitazioni più estreme, sia in presenza di ordigni antiuomo che di mine anticarro.
