Understanding what happens to soil samples during laboratory testing is key to interpreting how materials behave in real conditions.

In our geotechnical labs, controlled tests allow us to observe how samples evolve step by step. As conditions are progressively applied, their behaviour changes and reveals how they respond and move towards critical states.

Through continuous observation and precise measurement, these tests provide valuable insight, helping turn complex behaviours into a clearer understanding that supports engineering work over time.

Laboratory testing plays a key role in understanding how ground materials behave in real conditions.

Across our geotechnical laboratories, a wide range of ground tests are carried out to analyse how materials respond to different loads and environmental conditions. These activities allow us to transform complex behaviours into clear and usable data.

They help us understand how materials perform in real conditions and support reliable results, contributing to a more accurate and consistent approach across engineering projects.

Wrapping up an inspiring week at ⚓ Over the past few days, one message came through loud and clear: the shipping industry is looking for innovation that works in the real world, and that's exactly what many of the conversations at our stand were about.

We awarded a Type Approval to for its fuel-flexible NovaLT™ 16 gas turbine technology, capable of operating on natural gas and up to 100% hydrogen, supporting the maritime industry's path toward cleaner propulsion solutions.

We highlighted the strength of collaboration through our ongoing work with partners such as .group, where engineering, construction and classification come together to deliver reliable, high-performance vessels for demanding operations.

We also signed a contract with for the development of a new open-type ferry tailored to the needs of the Greek market, helping improve both efficiency and connectivity.

A special moment was welcoming , EU Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism, to our booth and exchanging views on the future of a more competitive, sustainable and resilient transport sector.

As Posidonia 2026 comes to a close, we thank everyone who visited our stand, shared insights and helped make this week such a valuable experience.

Understanding how the ground behaves is essential for making confident design decisions.

Across our geotechnical laboratory, experienced specialists combine deep engineering expertise with advanced testing equipment and modern laboratory systems to analyse soil behaviour under real conditions. Dedicated machines and controlled testing environments allow us to collect precise data on strength, deformation and soil–structure interaction.

By bringing together technical know‑how, innovative tools and long‑standing experience, ground data is transformed into practical insight that engineers can rely on to support safer, more reliable and well‑informed design solutions.

An approach built on expertise, innovation and a clear understanding of what lies beneath.

Designing subsea pipelines requires understanding what happens below the surface, long before installation begins.

In our geotechnical laboratory, dedicated testing helps engineers study how pipelines rest on the seabed and how different conditions influence their stability over time. By analysing variations in loading and surface materials, our tests provide essential insight into how pipelines interact with the ground.

This approach supports safer, more informed design choices, helping ensure that subsea systems perform reliably in real operating environments.

Where engineering insight starts with what lies beneath.

Singapore Maritime Week 2026 showcased how collaboration and applied innovation continue to drive progress across the maritime sector.

Throughout the week, we engaged with a wide range of industry players, sharing perspectives and leveraging our experience as a recognised marine organisation to contribute to discussions on technology, energy transition and operational readiness.

We strengthened our engagement with , supporting advanced engineering expertise and the development of future maritime talent. Innovation in service and alternative fuels was also highlighted through our collaboration with , recognising progress in methanol‑powered vessels and the alignment between regulatory vision, engineering rigour and operational needs.

The week also included collaboration with , focused on advancing innovative technical solutions and supporting the development of next‑generation maritime systems. Our booth additionally welcomed a visit from Singapore’s Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Law and Ministry of Transport, Mr. Murali Pillai SC, underscoring Singapore’s role as a global hub where regulation, innovation and industrial ex*****on converge. Dialogue within the ecosystem led by further reinforced the value of cooperation across institutions and industry.

Moments of exchange like these play a key role in aligning expertise across the maritime ecosystem.
