💡 DID YOU KNOW?

For the first time, BraYn Conference 2026 will be organized in partnership with the three Universities of Sicily.
🤝 University of Catania
🤝 University of Messina
🤝 University of Palermo
Three institutions.
One island.
One neuroscience community.

This collaboration reflects what BraYn has always aimed to achieve: bringing together researchers, ideas, and opportunities beyond institutional boundaries.
From September 30 to October 2, 2026, Catania will become the meeting point for neuroscientists from across Italy and beyond.

And this is just one of the many reasons why BraYn 2026 will be special.

🧠🤝 A shared vision for neuroscience.

For BraYn Conference 2026, we are proud to present the session "Cognitive Neuroscience and Neurotechnologies", organized in collaboration with the Italian Society of Psychophysiology and Cognitive Neuroscience (SIPF).

This partnership brings together researchers working at the intersection of cognitive neuroscience, neuroimaging, electrophysiology, brain stimulation, and emerging neurotechnologies.

Because advancing neuroscience requires not only new discoveries, but also new ways of exploring the brain.

We are excited to welcome this scientific community to BraYn 2026 and to create new opportunities for discussion, collaboration, and innovation.

Another BraYn Retreat has come to an end ✨

A few intense days in Bologna filled with ideas, discussions, planning, brainstorming… and above all, people who truly believe in building something meaningful for young neuroscience.

Behind every BraYn Conference there is months of invisible work:
late-night calls, abstract evaluations, sponsorship discussions, scientific planning, grant programs, social communication, logistics, mentoring and countless decisions taken together as a team.

This retreat reminded us once again why BraYn exists:
🧠 to create opportunities for young neuroscientists
🤝 to build connections
🚀 to give space to new ideas and new voices in neuroscience

And while BraYn Conference 2026 is already approaching fast… yes, we are already working on the 2027 agenda.

Because BraYn is not just a conference.
It is a growing community built by young neuroscientists, for young neuroscientists.

A huge thank you to everyone who keeps making this possible ❤️

See you soon.
See you in Catania.

We are extremely proud to announce that International Brain Research Organization will support the organization of the BraYn Conference 2026 as an official sponsor through the IBRO Equitable Meeting Award.

IBRO is one of the world’s leading organizations dedicated to advancing neuroscience research, education, collaboration, and scientific exchange across the globe. Their support represents an important recognition of the mission and vision of the BraYn Association ETS and of the scientific community we are building together year after year.

The support from IBRO will contribute to making BraYn 2026 even more accessible and inclusive for young neuroscientists, helping us promote scientific discussion, networking opportunities, and international participation.

🧠 We are excited to welcome Morgane Thion to BraYn Conference 2026!

Morgane is a neuroscientist and Junior Team Leader at the Institut Pasteur, where she studies how microglia shape brain development during early life.

Her research explores the fascinating dialogue between the immune system, developing brain vasculature and maternal environmental signals — including the microbiota.

🧠 New session alert!
How can neurotechnologies help us understand, measure, and modulate human cognition?

We are excited to announce the new Cognitive Neuroscience and Neurotechnologies session at BraYn ✨

This session will explore how tools such as EEG, neuroimaging, non-invasive brain stimulation, and multimodal approaches are advancing the study of attention, memory, perception, executive functions, learning, decision-making, and neural plasticity ⚡

From basic mechanisms to clinical applications, we aim to bring together young researchers working at the intersection of cognition, brain dynamics, and neurotechnology 🔬🧩

The session is co-organized and endorsed by the Italian Society of Psychophysiology and Cognitive Neurosciences

🚀 BraYn Travel Grant 2026 is now OPEN

Would you like to present your research at BraYn 2026 in Catania… but funding is a problem?

This is exactly why the BraYn Travel Grant exists.

Every year we try to make BraYn accessible to young neuroscientists who have great science to share, but limited financial support. And this year, we increased the number of available grants.

🧠 The grant includes:
✓ registration fee waiver
✓ reimbursement for travel and accommodation expenses
✓ the opportunity to present your work in front of an incredible scientific community

And honestly… have you seen this year’s invited speaker panel?

BraYn 2026 will bring together hundreds of young neuroscientists from all over the world for three intense days of science, discussions, posters, speed talks, oral presentations and new collaborations.

28 oral presentations.
28 speed talks.
More than 6 hours of poster sessions.

Your science deserves to be there.
