Nella logica dello sviluppo di efficaci e costruttive sinergie, anche per questa edizione, si prevedono partner tecnico-scientifici, quali il Distretto Ligure delle Tecnologie Marine, e gli istituti preposti della Marina Militare quali il CSSN, CISAM e CIMA oltre ad Università e Centri di ricerca. Per la manifestazione è stato chiesto il coinvolgimento delle più Alte cariche dello Stato e delle Istituzioni più importanti del Paese, la partecipazione dei big players dei settori della nautica, cantieristica, difesa, refitting e dual use.

On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, SEAFUTURE reaffirms its commitment to promoting equal access, participation and leadership in scientific and technological fields.

Today, less than one third of the world’s researchers are women. Closing this gap is essential to strengthening the global innovation ecosystem and addressing the complex technological and environmental challenges of our time.

In its latest edition, SEAFUTURE recorded 52% female participation, across multiple roles: panel speakers, representatives of companies and research centres, startups, innovative organisations and participants in the SEAFUTURE Awards.

This figure demonstrates a concrete and measurable commitment to inclusivity, diversity and the development of future skills within the blue economy and the maritime technological sector.

Supporting women in STEM is not only a matter of equity.
It is a strategic priority for sustainable growth, competitiveness and innovation.

The SEAFUTURE Start-Up Area has been one of the most dynamic spaces of this edition, shining a spotlight on innovation and entrepreneurship. Emerging companies presented breakthrough projects in fields ranging from maritime sustainability to smart connectivity, AI, renewable energy and underwater technologies.
The line-up included: Seamoretech, EYEGAUGE, Accelerat, SunCubes srl, Taléo – The Hybrid Connectivity Dome, ampStay wind energy gmbh, TEST 1 SRL SB, NOVAC, VDS - Ofiuco M19 srl, Gerris Boat, Neoeast, electrifly, SHORELINK, MYWAI Srl.
👉 Thanks to dedicated stands, live pitching sessions and networking with international stakeholders, the Start-Up Area proved to be a catalyst for ideas, partnerships and future opportunities in the maritime and defence ecosystem.

Great success for the latest edition of the SEAFUTURE AWARDS: 35 applications from Italian and European universities, with 7 young researchers selected for the excellence of their projects – ranging from underwater robotics to offshore infrastructure and green catalysts – and 3 nautical institutes taking part, including the Capellini-Sauro of La Spezia and the San Giorgio of Genoa.
Organised by Italian Blue Growth and DLTM, the SEAFUTURE AWARDS offer participants the opportunity to present their theses and engage directly with leading companies, institutions and international stakeholders in the maritime sector.
👉 The spotlight is now on the award ceremony, where the official winners of this edition will be announced.
The SEAFUTURE AWARDS, organised by Italian Blue Growth and DLTM, reward secondary school students, undergraduates, PhD candidates and young researchers with projects dedicated to maritime technologies, sustainability, innovation and marine security.

The ninth edition of SF reached its grand finale, and it has been an extraordinary one: four intense days of business meetings, high-level conferences, and technology showcases that brought companies, institutions, and delegations from all over the world to La Spezia.
25,000 visitors, 50,000 sqm of exhibition space, 4,000 B2B meetings, 370 exhibitors, 80 foreign delegations, 150 speakers, 20 Chiefs of staff of Navy, 170 accredited journalists, and 15 startups: numbers that tell the story of a truly remarkable success.
This is only the beginning — the tenth edition of Seafuture will set new records and shape new horizons.
