Thetida, a project dedicated to protecting Europe’s coastal and underwater cultural heritage from climate change and natural hazards, is approaching its conclusion, marking a crucial stage in its journey towards delivering innovative tools and strategies for resilience and preservation.
On 27 May 2026, the 6th THETIDA Plenary Meeting took place in Faro, Algarve (Portugal).
This gathering marked an important opportunity to review the achievements reached so far, align on the remaining activities, and define the roadmap for the final phase of the project.
The discussions were mainly centered on testing, assessment and validation in the pilot actions, while also focusing on dissemination, communication and exploitation activities.
With the project entering its final months, partners remain committed to consolidating results, maximizing impact, and ensuring that THETIDA’s legacy continues to support the long-term protection and resilience of Europe’s coastal and underwater cultural heritage.
