IRENA 3: AN IMPORTANT MILESTONE FOR GRUPPO ANTONINI

We’re proud to announce the successful completion of the load-out and sail-away operations for the IRENA 3 offshore platform, bound for the northern Adriatic Sea, off the coast of Rovinj, Croatia.

A project worth over €25 million, backed by nearly 100,000 working hours and our integrated expertise in engineering, procurement, construction and offshore operations.

The next phase is offshore installation, with start-up expected by the end of 2026.

With 2025 now behind us, we want to share some of the most significant moments from the past year as we approach 2026 with enthusiasm and determination, looking ahead to the new goals that await us.

It has been an intense year, marked by complex projects, industrial activities, and important international engagements, which have strengthened the position of Gruppo Antonini SpA and Antonini Navi, including our participation at the Cannes Yachting Festival and in Monaco.

Every achievement has been made possible thanks to the professionalism, expertise, and passion of our team, as well as the support of everyone who collaborated with us throughout the year.

The video was projected during the Inauguration Ceremony of the NGC Gas Treatment Plant in Soyo, Angola. NGC is a strategic project operated by meant to redefine the local energy supply: in fact, it is the first non-associated gas development in Angola.
This new facility will process gas from the offshore and platforms, supplying the Angola .
Gruppo Antonini SpA contributed to the project as contractor for the Maboqueiro platform, successfully completing engineering, procurement, onshore fabrication and offshore construction activities and demonstrating its EPC capabilities in West Africa.

Offshore operations on the Sabratha Platform off the Libyan coast.

Gruppo Antonini engineered and built the platform’s compression module, one of the most significant achievements of the past decade: a structure weighing over 1,700 tons, installed 42 meters above sea level on the Sabratha platform.

The hook-up and offshore commissioning phases are currently underway and will be completed by the end of the year, marking the conclusion of a major project that covers the full EPCIC cycle (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Commissioning) launched in 2023.

Walter Antonini, General Manager of Gruppo Antonini SpA, took part in "BREAK BULK ITALY: L’Italia che solleva il mondo: eccellenza e futuro nei trasporti eccezionali”, a B2B event dedicated to the project cargo, break bulk, and industrial logistics sectors, held on October 24th at the Museum of the 20th Century in Mestre (Venice).

The event brought together leading players in shipping, port terminal operations, and EPC companies, providing an opportunity to share our experience as an EPCIC Contractor in the Oil & Gas sector - committed every day to delivering complex projects that demand integrated expertise and tailor-made solutions.

Gruppo Antonini SpA has successfully completed the construction and launch of the Compression Module for the Sabratha platform, part of a EPCIC project that plays a strategic role in the gas supply between Libya and Italy.

Awarded in 2023 by Mellitah Oil and Gas B.V – a joint venture between Eni and the Libyan National Oil Corporation - Houston – the project is part of Phase II of the Bahr Essalam offshore field development, the main gas production site in Libya.

Weighing over 1,700 tons and positioned 42 meters above sea level, the module is a key element to ensure operational continuity and production efficiency more than twenty years after the platform’s start-up.

The installation, carried out with the support of Heerema Marine Contractors, has been followed by hook-up and commissioning operations, expected to be completed by the end of the year.

This milestone represents one of the most significant achievements of the past decade for the Gruppo Antonini SpA , confirming its position among the leading players in the international energy sector.
